Aldie Mansion Wedding | Kristin Yuknus & Matthew Hamilton

Kristin and Matt’s yuletide Aldie Mansion wedding was full of warmth and good cheer. What a wonderful way to start our holidays!

Getting Ready

Kristin’s blush gown was the first thing to wow us when we walked into her hotel room. Then it was overwhelmed by her smile when she greeted us. All the ladies were matching in their plaid shirts – button down for hair safety. The final touches for hair and makeup went on. Then it was time for getting dressed!

With a little help from her mom and sister, Kristin slipped into her dress. It fit like a glove. The darling lace cap sleeves and open back brought some drama. Drama we had to capture. Queue a few classic window light portraits. Then it was off to Aldie Mansion!

But wait! Matt also had his share of nifty details. Starting with his fantastic Indochino suit. The shimmering paisley print inside set off the embroidery which boasted of his “semi-charmed life”. A little shamrock had been sewn by his mother for him to take with him. With some heckling from the guys, he donned his wedding day attire and was ready to hit the road for their Aldie Mansion wedding!

The First Look at Aldie Mansion

One of the cutest first looks of the season, Matt and Kristin had little privacy for their special moment. Up in the windows, looking down at them was a gaggle of bridesmaids. They smiled impishly as Matt waited for that highly anticipated tap on his shoulder. With a giant grin, he turned and saw his bride and lit up even brighter. Always one of the best moments on a wedding day!

We wandered the grounds, making good use of Aldie Mansion’s stunning courtyard and manicured grounds. The interior was festive and so we stopped inside for some yuletide cheer and invited the bridal party to join us.

The Aldie Mansion Ceremony

Under twinkle lights a-plenty, Kristin made her way down the aisle to Matt. There wasn’t an empty seat in the house. Everyone had shown up for the Aldie Mansion wedding and was excited for these two to share their vows and start their forever. The ceremony was short and sweet, full of laughter, and culminated in an epic kiss. Which meant that it was time for dancing and drinks!

The Reception at Aldie Mansion

It was definitely not a silent night at Aldie Mansion as Kristin and Matt entered their reception. They opened the dance floor with a lovely first dance. They got roasted by their Maid of Honor and Best Man and everyone howled with laughter. After a sweet set of parent dances, they cut the cake and got the party started for real.

We’re pretty sure everyone danced the entire night. And when our newlyweds needed a quick breather, we snuck outside to the twinkling tree. A few quick (cause it was freezing!) portraits there and then back to the party. Aldie Mansion was definitely the place to be that night.

Kristin and Matt, thanks for such an amazing day and we wish you many happy years together!
