A chance meeting at a Blue and White weekend at Penn State led to a long distance relationship for Carly and Ryan. For two years they made the effort to be together and eventually Carly moved to join Ryan which led to a proposal and, ultimately, their delightful Anthony Wayne House wedding this last September.
Getting Ready at the Desmond Hotel & Private Residence
Carly couldn’t have been more excited for her wedding day. Easy going and fun loving, she greeted us with a radiant smile and quickly pointed us to her details. Her gorgeous Morilee gown was delicately laced and featured a sheer lace open back. Elegant pearls and a diamond tennis bracelet completed her ensemble. Her bridesmaids in their coordinated hues of wisteria and light grey floated over after her mother helped her get dressed. The end result was spectacular. We knew she was going to knock Ryan’s socks off.
Speaking of Ryan, he was in Malvern at the Desmond, chilling like a villain. Chilling until he opened the letter Carly had written him. But that was nothing compared the gift she had made. Now he was really ready to get to the church and marry the love of his life before heading to the Anthony Wayne House.
The Ceremony at St Teresa of Avila Church
The music was swelling, Ryan stood at the top of the aisle, and there she was. Carly nearly danced down the aisle with her dad to her beau. Ryan couldn’t contain his smile, they were finally there. They enjoyed a traditional Catholic ceremony performed by Carly’s childhood pastor. After all their declarations and promises had been made, they sealed their union with a “private” kiss and triumphantly exited as man and wife. After family photos at the church, we were off the their Anthony Wayne House wedding reception for portraits and fun!
The Anthony Wayne House Wedding Reception
Before we relinquished Carly and Ryan to enjoy their reception and all its fun, we wandered the amazing grounds of the Anthony Wayne House and photographed these two in their resplendent married glory.
Then it was time to get the party started. Their entrances were epic, full of energy and got the crowd warmed up. Carly and Ryan shared their first dance and immediately asked all to join them the moment they were done.
The night seemed to just more and more high energy the later it got and it was soon the end of our time with this lovely couple. This Anthony Wayne House wedding will linger with us for quite some time we think.
