Cape May Beach Wedding photos - South Jersey Weddings

It’s hard to know where to start with Ashlee and Vin’s incredible wedding this past Saturday which took place in Cape May, NJ. There was so much that happened, and these two are possibly the sweetest couple we have had the pleasure to work with.

Despite the best attempts of New Jersey to thwart our excitement about Ashlee and Vin’s wedding, three and a half hours of driving, detours and traffic, we were greeted by the most amazing and gracious couple ever. Ashlee was absolutely radiant. Her smile could power the entire state. She had not a care in the world. Her mantra for the day was “this is a party and the fun part, let’s enjoy it!” And enjoy it she did. The whole day she was light as a feather, enjoying every second with her family and friends, and most of all, smiling at and with Vin, the love of her life.

Their ceremony, with a fabulous view of the ocean on a perfect, and we do mean perfect, day was short and sweet. Their minister, a longtime friend of theirs, encouraged them in their love for one another, sealed them in marriage, and pronounced them the long awaited man and wife. After a receiving line to greet everyone, we took the bridal party and family to the beach for photos. There’s something about saltwater and sand that just melts away any stress or anxiety. Everyone was laughing and having a great time. They carried this same spirit into the reception.

The reception was loaded with beautiful details. Lots of beach and nautical themed decorations. Ashlee wanted to make sure everyone left with lots of favors, so she had flip flop bottle openers, personalized tins with mints, flip flops for dancing in a beautiful teal, and an wide assortment of boardwalk treats like fudge and taffy for taking home and enjoying. There were even personalized cigars for those who enjoy a good stogie.

Far and away, one of our favorite points of the day was taking Ashlee and Vin back to the beach at sunset for some fabulous portraits in the surf. And we do mean in the surf. Ashlee, being an amazing and adventurous soul, actually allowed the waves to kiss her dress (which remarkably dried out crazy fast and was still perfect). The dreamy sky, the beautiful surf, and these two incredible people full of life and love dominated our lenses and we swooned as we reviewed the images.

When the last dance played, we were grabbed by the bride’s sister and told how amazing we were, which melted us. We bounced excitedly with Ashlee as she thanked us yet again and told us that she loved us. We couldn’t stop smiling. These two have stolen a piece of our hearts and we can’t wait to share the rest of their wedding with them!

Ashlee and Vin, you two are the best and we hope that the Bahamas are amazing! We will be in touch to set up a date for some wine (or gin and tonics) and album design when you get back.
