Aviva and Michael’s summer wedding at Promise Ridge and Cafe Duet elicited a feeling of wooded whimsy and Ann was there to capture every last detail as these two said “I do.”
Getting Ready in Stroudsburg
When Ann arrived, she immediately found Aviva and her bestie spending some quality time together getting pampered and ready for the big day. Aviva’s Truvelle gown from Ashe B & Co was hanging up, just waiting for her to slip into it. In her own words, she was most excited to wear it because of the open lace up back. She felt gorgeous in it and it showed! After adding the finishing touches of her jewelry, it was just about time to walk down the aisle.
Before the ceremony began, Mike was busy getting himself ready. His gray Indochino suit made his red tie pop. The succulent boutonniere provided by Cafe Duet was delightfully whimsical. His air of nerves diminished as he got set to go see his bride.
The Ceremony at Promise Ridge
Set against the Living Wall at Promise Ridge, Aviva and Michael came together to make their vows. Celebrant Alisa Tongg presided over their nuptials, adding her signature flair to their very intimate ceremony. They exchanged their vows and rings and became man and wife! It’s always an honor to photograph these intimate ceremonies because it’s only the closest family and friends and us.
Portraits at Promise Ridge
Before leaving for their reception at Cafe Duet, we lingered at Promise Ridge overlooking the Poconos for their portraits. Never ones to grab the spotlight, Aviva and Mike are most themselves when they are together. This side of them came out as we photographed their first moments together as husband and wife. Once we’d drunk in the beauty of midsummer mountains, it was time to celebrate with family and friends.
The Reception at Cafe Duet
This lovely cafe in Stroudsburg had a private courtyard that was beautifully appointed. The picnic table was set with a beautiful floral table cloth and covered in gorgeous blooms. All these details were done by Cafe Duet. The evening wore on with lots of love, laughs, and good friends talking the night away.
