So far, we have shown you the highlights of Katie and Dan’s portraits and details from their wonderfully thoughtful and sweet June wedding. Now, we’d like to show you where they tied the knot and what a good party they had!
They got married at St. Francis Xavier church, right off the Ben Franklin Parkway. It’s a beautiful, regal looking church, with marble pillars, a great big pipe organ, and wonderful stained glass windows. We have had the pleasure of shooting there before for Julianne and Bobby’s wedding last year. You can find those photos here.
After the mass, everyone partied hard! The Sheraton Society Hill has a big beautiful ballroom, perfect for housing a large dance floor for people to tear up. And tear it up they did. Jamming to the sweet tunes of the rocking band, everyone was on the dance floor at one point. Or so it felt to us. A good band can make a good party great!
We were secretly hoping for some Vanilla Ice (Dan’s last name is Ice), but alas, that song was not in the cards for us. However, that did not stop our own private rendition on the way home. We left that wedding with our hearts full and smiles on our faces.
Congratulations Katie and Dan! We wish you a fabulous first year of marriage, followed by many many more!
