Get ready everyone, this incredible Kimmel Center wedding is a doozy. A proverbial pantheon of amazing Philadelphia vendors came together to celebrate this love story in a beautiful way.
Getting Ready for the Kimmel Center Wedding
Brittnay and her lovely assembly of bridesmaids, along with her mom, all busily buzzed around the gorgeous AirBnB she had rented for her wedding day preparations. Arielle of Arielle Fera Events was already there, keeping everyone on track and spirits high when we arrived to start photographing what would prove to be a historic wedding. Brittnay’s details were exquisite. Everything was perfectly coordinated. The grey and copper color scheme really resonated with us (can you see why?), and we happily captured every last detail. The invitation suite from Hello Bird combined geometric shapes with delicate calligraphy and watercolors. They were truly amazing.
The rose gold wedding bands sparkled in the velvet ring box engraved with her soon to be last initial. Will’s was engraved with a sweet “I got you”, speaking volumes about their relationship.
The flowers from Devon + Pinkett were a vision of greens and white. The textures really popped when Brittnay slipped into her stunning lace cutout dress.
The ladies in their matching robes were all smiles and anxiously awaited the moment when Brittany would don her dress and complete her bridal transformation. Their patience was rewarded soon enough. She was ready to see Will and we couldn’t wait for him to see her!
Will was nearby getting ready. His suit had a heart patch sewn into the jacket with his initials in a bit of customization. His burgundy polka dotted pocket square really stood out next to his succulent boutonniere. The window light made for a perfect groom portrait before heading out to meet his bride.
The First Look and Portraits Around Philadelphia
Brittnay and Will combined their first look and letter reading. Back to back, they stood on their street in Philly and read of the other’s love and excitement for their wedding day. When they’d finished, they turned and embraced. They were finally together on their wedding day. Before we got too far, their sweet puppy joined them for a few family shots before we wandered the city for their portraits. There is no bad way to photograph these two, and we shot away until it was time for their Kimmel Center wedding ceremony and reception!
The Kimmel Center Wedding Ceremony
On top of one of the performance centers inside the Kimmel Center, in front of hanging greenery hoops and the stunning architecture of the center, Brittnay and Will got married. Arm in arm with her dad, who couldn’t stop smiling, she floated down the aisle to Will. They exchanged their vows and rings. When they were pronounced, Will gently cupped her face with his hands and they shared a tender kiss of pure happiness. Then it was time to enjoy the night with their friends and family.
The Kimmel Center Wedding Reception
Garces Events brought the deliciousness. Maggpie Rentals brought the beautiful sweetheart table and copper chairs for the newlyweds to enjoy. The Kimmel Center brought the stunning views. Jumper Philly brought the entertainment. But it was Brittnay and Will who brought the party!
They opened the dance floor with panache. Their parent dances were sweet and brought more than one tear to the eyes of those watching. When the party was well underway, we took the quick elevator ride down to Broad Street for some night shots. The rest of the night wore away and before we left, Brittany and Will whisked off to their happily ever through a line of sparklers held by friends.
