Anne Marie & Nicholas’ Philadelphia Waterworks wedding was a beautiful summer day, filled with love and laughter and awesome dancing.
Getting ready at the Logan Hotel & the family home.
Anne Marie and her bridal party began the day getting ready at the Logan Hotel on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The room was awash with beautiful natural light as Anne Marie’s daughter, who was also her maid of honor, helped her put on her elegant mermaid dress by Danielle Caprese from Kleinfeld Bridal NYC. Classic pearl earrings and mixed metal wedding bands complimented her look.
Nicholas and his groomsmen prepared for the wedding at their home in Sewell, which provided the perfect neutral palette to complement the grooms wedding day getup. A pair of subtle compass cufflinks and striped socks added a personal touch to his look. Once the hair was gelled and his shoes were tied it was time to head to the chapel.
Ceremony at St Thomas Aquinas Church
The St Thomas Aquinas Church is a lovely historical building with a greened copper spire and roof details. The ceremony began with the bridal party making their way down the aisle and you could feel Nicholas’ excitement as Anne Marie began to walk down the aisle, smiling from ear to ear.
After a traditional catholic ceremony, the bride and groom exited the church between a lined up bridal party, all clapping and cheering for the newlyweds.
Iconic Philadelphia Portrait Session
Anne Marie and Nicholas began their couples portraits at the Masonic Hall at One North Broad, where Nicholas is a member. They then moved on to south Broad Street for the iconic Broad Street shot. The classic white Rolls Royce stopped in the median to add a personal touch. Their final spot at Philadelphia Waterworks brought in more of the classic Philadelphia architecture as well as beautiful views over the Schuylkill River.
Philadelphia Waterworks Wedding Reception
Guests arrived to cocktail hour greeted by delicious hors d’oeurves prepared by Cescaphe and personal touches chosen by the bride and groom. These included framed photos of relatives, a large seating chart in a vintage frame, stunning floral arrangements by Beautiful Blooms and a live band.
The reception kicked off with some wild entrances by the bridal party. Then the bride and groom swept in and opened the dance floor while their guests admired from afar. The Philadelphia Waterworks wedding space, with its large pillars and drapery provided a grand and elegant backdrop for their celebrations. Beautiful Blooms floral centerpieces and a subtly detailed four tier wedding cake that screamed elegance adorned the Ballroom.
