We are seeing smaller intimate weddings becoming more and more popular and we can’t get enough of them. Even more, we love the team that helped us to create this colorful brunch wedding inspiration designed by our dear friend over at Keara Anne Weddings at the Sage Farmhouse.
And the best part of the shoot? We had the chance to work with our real life couple, Shanna & Brandon, whose wedding we will have the honor of photographing later this year! Shanna was beautifully dressed in a Claire Pettibone from the Collection Romantique, with hair & makeup by Something You Onsite. With her soon to be husband, Shanna was absolutely glowing and we couldn’t have been more excited to get one of our couples in front of our camera at the stunning Sage Farmhouse!
The beautiful space at Sage Farmhouse in Media, Pennsylvania was perfect, featuring a lush landscape and bucolic farmhouse. The Sage Farmhouse features original stone tile flooring, multiple fireplaces, and lots of natural window light. It is a photographer’s dream!
Keara designed a gorgeous, colorful spread filled of delicately nuanced details. One of the misconceptions that people have about intimate weddings is that they are less stylish or detail-oriented than a larger scale event. However, having a more private reception can also help you to lavish more luxury on the guests that you do invite.
The colorful arrangements from Lavender, Lilacs and Love created a beautiful contrast to the white linens and simple settings from Open Air Affairs. A palette of bright blues, yellows, and pinks created a cheerful design that popped against the neutral space of the main room at the Sage Farmhouse. With simple, yet colorful details sprinkled throughout every aspect of the design, we love how Keara pulled together every element for this intimate celebration. From touches of blue in the jewelry by L. Priori Jewelry, to the whimsical elegance of the stationery by April Lynn Designs, we created the perfect foundation for this charming brunch wedding.
To finish the perfect wedding brunch, we had a custom-designed, watercolored square wedding cake from La Linea, decorated with delicate sugar flowers and hand-lettered calligraphy scrolls. When paired with a glass of champagne, our soon-to-be married real-life couple was over the moon!
And, as if this shoot couldn’t get any better, we were honored to be featured on one of our favorite blogs, Every Last Detail, last week!
