Britt and Ian’s summer One North Broad wedding was the uniting of two people in a laughter-filled wedding day that started beautifully and only got better from there.
Getting Ready for their Summer One North Broad Wedding
When Rachel arrived at the hotel to begin photographing Britt and her wedding day, she walked into a room that was somewhat quiet, but definitely excited. The details were all ready and so we got right to work photographing them all. The watercolor invitation, the laser cut envelope, Britt and Ian’s stunning wedding rings from L Priori Jewelry, and the eye catching vibrant bouquet from Hoffman Design Group, it all coordinated beautifully and was so lovely to capture. But beyond that, Britt’s excitement was contagious. She couldn’t wait to put on her stunning BHLDN dress with its lovely light blush tone. The plunging neckline and intricate beading was stunning and she was so ready to rock it. So, after we rearranged most of the hotel room, she slipped it on. It fit like a glove. We paused for some window light portraits before heading to City Hall for her first look with Ian.
Meanwhile, a few blocks away, Ian was chilling like a villain with Ashley as he leisurely got ready for his wedding. Their apartment is stunning with tons of natural light and lots of art – some of it Britt’s! With this as the backdrop, Ian’s getting ready portraits are incredible. His custom suit from Morroni Custom had the best liner and matching pocket square. It was pictures of him and Britt from their whole relationship. They’d worked together to select the pictures they felt best captured their relationship and it was polished off with his name embroidered inside. He was quite dashing. And ready to see Britt. So off we went.
First Look before the Summer One North Broad Wedding
By one of the gardens in City Hall, Ian nervously waited. Thankfully the sun wasn’t too warm, or it might have been a very sweaty existence for him as he waited for Britt. From through the hall she emerged, and strode purposefully towards him. She tapped his shoulder and he smiled as he turned to behold his bride. They embraced and chatted about their respective mornings and about how glad they were that this day had arrived.
We wandered through the atrium and into the splash park at Dilworth Park. What a perfect stop for a summer One North Broad wedding! It was a breeze photographing these two and we were soon ready for their ceremony!
The Summer One North Broad Wedding Ceremony
Inside the Masonic Temple, in the warm Corinthian room, Britt and Ian were married. They exchanged their vows and rings in a short and sweet ceremony. It was over so fast, but they’d done it! Married at last!
Before joining everyone for cocktail hour, they exchanged gifts in the bridal suite. Britt admitted ahead of time that Ian crushes gift giving – he’s great at it. And he didn’t disappoint. He gave Britt a custom medal for getting married and a certificate of ownership. In turn, she gave him a spatula with their names and wedding date and a silk pocket square that stated, “Ian, I love you. Let’s do this.” Complete with the Temple. These were personal gifts that showed just how much these two know about each other. Then it was time for food and fun!
Their Summer One North Broad Wedding Reception
It was a fun evening spent celebrating Britt and Ian. Denise Fike, a live illustrator, captured the glammed up guests while they waited for their delicious dinners. Drinking and dancing was the only thing on everyone’s minds and so the party got rocking in short order. We snuck outside for some night shots briefly, but quickly returned Britt and Ian to their friends to enjoy the rest of the evening with.
