The Lucy by Cescaphe Wedding| Sara Tobin & Elan Levy

Sara & Elan spent the day loving each other all over Philly! From the Cambria Hotel, to some of our favorite portrait spots like The Second National Bank and Merchant’s Exchange Building, to ending the night at Cescaphe’s The Lucy. It’s always exciting for us as a team to see some familiar faces. We photographed Elan’s sister Ariella and her husband Isaac’s wedding last year at Vie and Sara and Elan knew they wanted us to be the ones to capture their special day. Our primary photographer Ann recently had a baby and with all the marvelous details, this was a great wedding for her to come back and show off her amazing skills. Sara and Elan’s wedding and reception at The Lucy was definitely one for the books!

Getting Ready at the Cambria Hotel

Sara and her girls kicked off the day getting ready at the Cambria Hotel in Downtown Philadelphia. The bridesmaids looked super cozy in their matching star pjs with Sara standing out in a chic pair of simple white pjs, even her mom got in on the comfiness with her own set! After finishing up their glam session, the girls popped and toasted some champagne to start their day of celebrating Sara and Elan. When it was time to get dressed, Sara’s sisters helped her into her simple but fitted to perfection Allure Bridal gown from Sposabella Bridal. She put on her beautifully bold earrings and accessories before doing a big reveal for her bridesmaids and leaving for the first look. Elan and his gang didn’t waste any time before cracking some seltzers and pouring a few shots. After quickly getting ready, which for these guys consisted of brushing their teeth and throwing on their tuxes, the guys toasted and cheered on Elan for his big day. He read a touching letter from his bride to be and opened his gift — Christian Louboutin dress shoes for his wedding day! Once he was all put together and prepped, Elan headed over to the Second National Bank to see his soon-to-be wife.

First Look & Portraits in Old City

The Second National Bank is one of our favorite city spots for a first look. The towering pillars make a perfect hiding spot for a groom awaiting his bride. Sara walked up the marble stairs with a huge smile on her face ready to tap Elan on the shoulder. When he finally turned around and saw her, he could not stop looking up and down at the woman he gets to spend his life with. This simple and elegant couple stood out at this location that matched their style perfectly. A crowd gathered and cheered them off as they moved on for some portraits in the park. These two made portraits a breeze with how in love and excited they were to be with one another. Sara had this awesome leather jacket to keep her warm and add some edgy style to her elegant look, which looked super classy alongside her grooms sleek black tux. We met up with the wedding party at the Merchant’s Exchange Building for some fun family and friend photos. Sara’s bridesmaids stunned in their unique style black gowns with popping white floral bouquets. Before making our way to The Lucy, we HAD to stop on Broad Street for that signature city wedding photo. Then it’s off to get married!

Traditional Jewish Ceremony at The Lucy

The ceremony space at Cescaphe’s The Lucy was definitely the perfect venue for Sara and Elan to tie the knot. The Lucy’s luxurious ballroom decorated in gold and the most exquisite florals absolutely matched this couples’ elegance. Sara and Elan had a traditional Jewish ceremony starting off with an intimate Ketubah signing with close family. A small string band played as Elan and his mom, the wedding party, and finally Sara with her parents walked down the floral covered aisle. White petals and golden candle light lined the aisle to the most exquisite and monumental floral Chuppah by Beautiful Blooms Events for Sara and Elan to say their vows under. Their parents stood by their sides during the traditional Jewish ceremony where they drank wine, exchanged rings, smashed the glass, and sealed it with a kiss. The happy newlyweds danced and celebrated the whole way up the aisle into their celebration.

The Reception at the Lucy

While the guests enjoyed all of the scrumptious treats Cescaphe prepared, we got to capture some extravagant details from The Lucy. The golden architecture throughout the Lucy paired perfectly with all the gold details from the tables and florals. There was even a custom Philly LOVE ice sculpture with their wedding date engraved. The new Mr. & Mrs. entered down the stairs to the reception, through the crowd of their loving family and friends, and onto the dance floor. They shared a sweet and silly first dance to “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King surrounded by laughing and cheering guests. EBE Talent kept the momentum strong for a few songs leading up to the Horah. Sara and Elan were both whisked into the air as their loved ones danced and celebrated under them. They both shared a touching dance with their parents and listened to numerous toasts and speeches dedicated to them as they start their new life together. They gracefully cut into the lavishly covered cake by Cescphe caterers and Beautiful Blooms Events and danced the rest of the night away.

We are so thankful Ariella & Isaac brought Sara & Elan to us, and so thankful to capture all of the elegant perfection this family has! Congratulations to these two, we wish you the best!
