Waynesborough Country Club Wedding | Patricia Santoro & Clay Friese

Patricia and Clay’s Waynesborough Country Club wedding was one for the books! This chilly winter wedding complemented by the bridesmaids’ dark red gowns, festive holiday decor at Waynesborough CC, and princess gown gave us all the Christmas vibes! This Italian Catholic family showed tremendous amounts of love for one another while celebrating the union of Patricia and Clay.

Getting Ready

When we arrived at Patricia’s parents’ home where she was getting ready, the first thing we noticed was outdoor bridal decorations on the mailbox, front door, and in the yard. It is so sweet when parents take a few extra minutes to make their girl feel special on her big day. Preparations were in full swing with hair and makeup, ironing, and the babies distracted by a movie before getting dressed. All the bridesmaids were stunning in their matching purple flannels and fuzzy socks to stay warm on this December morning before putting on a dress. Patricia received a gift and was ecstatic to see a blanket covered in pictures of her and her soon-to-be hubby. Patricia’s long sleeve lace ball gown was the perfect fit for her elegant Italian style and winter wedding. Her mother pinned in her veil before they headed downstairs for a bridesmaid reveal and first look with her father. Patricia, her mother, and her father all shed a few tears of happiness.

Clay and his groomsmen got ready at The Desmond hotel in Malvern before heading to St. Agnes Church in West Chester. He got some help tying his bowtie from one of his groomsmen, threw on his jacket, and had his mom pin on his boutonniere. Now that he was all ready to go, it was time to get the party started. Clay poured himself a shot of Redneck Bourbon before having a toast with the groomsmen and his parents. The boys took a quick walk outside for some cool groom-squad pics and headed off to church!

The Ceremony at St. Agnes Church

Their traditional Catholic ceremony took place under the magnificent arches at St. Agnes Church in West Chester. The teeny tiny flower girls were the center of attention as they bobbled down the aisle towards their family coercing them to the end. That is until all the guests stood to watch the bride and her father walk down the aisle to the smiling groom awaiting. One of the best advantages of churches is the view from the balcony where we get to capture the beauty of a train gliding down the aisle of these exquisite churches. We snapped some traditional family photos in the church until it was time to head over to Waynesborough Country Club for the reception.

Portraits at Waynesborough Country Club

Waynesborough Country Club’s spacious grounds at sunset are an exquisite place for wedding party portraits. A fur is a winter wedding MUST and adds a little glam to any chilly bridal party. Patricia and her girls stunned in theirs as they braved the brisk December air for some sunset portraits. The wedding party went inside and we made some golden hour magic with the bride and groom. The sky lit up a gorgeous combination of orange and purple while we captured the first few moments between a new husband and wife. Another awesome perk to many December weddings is all the Christmas decor we get to take advantage of. The greens, reds, and golden lights were the perfect compliment to Patricia and Clay’s winter wedding. Patricia’s lace ball gown, fluffy white fur, and twinkling lights outside Waynesborough Country Club made this like a fairytale wedding for this super sweet couple.

Reception at Waynesborough Country Club

The night started off with just Patricia and Clay’s first dance and ended with everyone packed on the dancefloor. From the father daughter dance, to Patricia’s mother singing into a spoon, I’d say it was pretty poppin’. Clay spun his mom around and the little flower girls twirled in circles all over the place. Patricia got down low to dance with the little ones and even shared her first piece of wedding cake after graciously feeding some to Clay. The formalities were over and the Silver Sounds DJ really got the crowd going again. All of the family dancing together, guys singing into beer bottles, and kids busting a move helps remind us why we love staying with our couples throughout their entire experience. Who wouldn’t want moments like that captured?

Congratulations Patricia and Clay, thanks for letting us capture your special day.
