With the arrival of the warmer weather, we are feeling the beach vibes here at the studio. What better way to celebrate the arrival of warmth and sunshine than with Katie and Brandon’s amazing beach engagement session?
A Little Backstory
Katie and Brandon were both rowers in high school (Brandon at Malvern, Katie [as a coxswain] at Merion Mercy) and both decided to continue rowing when they started college at Saint Joseph’s University a year apart. Brandon saw Katie first, and the summer after his sophomore year and her freshman year, they began seeing each other regularly while they both worked in Avalon. One day, Katie decided she wanted to actively pursue Brandon, so stopped by his job at Avalon Seafood and ordered chicken fingers (Katie hates seafood). Brandon prepared her order and left her a special note on the takeout box along with his number. They began talking regularly, and started officially dating when school started again in the fall.
Katie was immediately taken by Brandon’s eyes and knew he was a great guy off the bat. Brandon’s first thoughts were a simple and elegant, “Dammmmnnnn, who is that girl!?”
Their Avalon NJ Engagement Session
We met late afternoon on the sandy shores of Avalon in New Jersey. From the very beginning of the session, it was pure magic. Everything came together to make this session something special. Katie and Brandon were made for each other. And how about her dress! The surf was up a bit, but that didn’t stop our couple from wading in. There is something totally romantic about kissing in the surf, and these two were all about it!
After wading in, and getting kissed by the waves as well as each other, they cozied up in the sand. The warmth between them was radiant and we could feel how much they love each other.
We can’t wait for their wedding in just a few short days! Avalon, here we come!
