Daniel & Mai met and have spent the bulk of their careers in Philadelphia, after going to college at Penn and starting their lives here. They are about to move to Seattle, WA after their Hawaii destination wedding for Mai to begin her medical residency, but wanted to pull in the city for a session that tells their story while they are still here. We started out on the grounds of Penn, being sure to stop by the David Rittenhouse Laboratory, the building where they spent the bulk of their undergrad, and finished the session at Cira Green, with the skyline in view.
Stunning UPenn and the Amazing Cira Green
Ahh, UPenn. A stunning campus and somewhat hidden gem in the heart of University City. We love going here but it takes on new meaning when the couple we are photographing has a personal connection. After beginning their relationship while attending this prestigious university, it made sense that they should write the next chapter there as well.
They strolled together down the quad, and stopped to hop into a button. The amazing architecture provided unique looks and angles. We made sure to stop at the Lab that they really got to know each other in. The weather was cool and crisp. Perfect for snuggling.
Then we quickly detoured to Cira Green and enjoyed the beautiful vista of the skyline. This wonderful rooftop park just opened this past year and we absolutely LOVE it.
We can’t say we aren’t just a little bummed that these two have opted for a destination wedding. Maybe a little jealous too. But we really fell in love with them and their love for each other and the city that brought them together. We wish them all the best in their new lives on the West Coast and expect to hear amazing things about them in the future!
