It’s a fairly well known fact that, unless you are getting married there, Winterthur does not allow engagement sessions. But, when the groom is the official groundskeeper for Winterthur, you have some clout to get them to make an exception. So, Rachel and Andrew brought us along to this incredible museum and garden for their engagement session.
Winterthur Museum and Gardens Engagement Session
Down by the library is where we got started. The beautiful reflecting pool was cool and still in the early summer air. Rachel was beaming. She was so excited for their engagement photos, even though she was a little nervous as well. Andrew lead us through the different areas, explaining some of the history of the museum. When the time came for some live action shooting, everything came together perfectly. Rachel and Andrew are so effortless together. The grounds of Winterthur were the perfect complement to their snazzy outfits. But the real party started when they cracked open a couple beers.
Beer has been a cornerstone of their relationship since its inception. They love getting to tour breweries, try flights, and compare notes on what beer has caught their attention lately. So we had the lovely couple toast to their future together, maybe a couple times. But the sentiment was clear, they were ready for the next chapter and it couldn’t come soon enough.
