A few months ago, we got a phone call that we never expected! Founder, Media personality, & Editor-in-chief of Dream Weddings Magazine & owner of House of Clarendon, Martine Cajas wanted Ashley Gerrity Photography to be the featured photographer in their Fall 2017 magazine. Once we heard the details, we were even more excited and honored. Being the featured photographer meant that we would spend a day at the John Wright Restaurant working with a dream team of professionals and models to create a fifteen page fashion spread, as well as two other inspiration shoots for the magazine’s style inspiration pages (which we’ll be sharing soon!)
When the day finally came, a very pregnant Rachel and a pre-coffee Ashley hopped in the car and were on the road back towards Lancaster. When we arrived, our bride model, Elizabeth, was already in the John Wright Restaurant bridal suite while Shelbi Makeup was perfecting her dramatic first look. We began to wander around the ballroom and take in the set.
Shumaker PDT was busy crafting an outdoor theatre in the round style ceremony setting for our models, overlooking the beautiful Susquehanna River, which we photographed from a bird’s eye perspective off of the deck at John Wright Restaurant. Indoors, they were pulling together an industrial-inspired, wedding inspiration shoot complete with mossy tablescapes and ceremony decor complete with cinderblocks, bicycle tires, chainlink, and beautifully designed paper goods from Typothecary Letterpress. Words can’t do it justice!
Once hair & makeup was completed, Elizabeth donned a Maggie Sottero gown from Tiffany’s Bridal Boutique, accessorized with jewelry from Garrick Jewelers, and grabbed on of the several gorgeous bouquets that Tulips & Twine had designed for us. We met our groom, Dextin, who was attired by Central PA Tuxedo, outside to begin featuring the grounds of John Wright Restaurant.
If a photo is worth a thousand words, we’re excited to share our most recent novel with you.

Big thanks to all of the amazing professionals who made this shoot possible!
