Here at AGP, we are always up for something new. Rachel and Tom’s destination engagement session in South Carolina was definitely new to us! A new place, a new couple, and a new category of logistics. Because of a tight May shooting schedule, Ashley snagged a 6am flight for their session and, despite being delayed (air travel, am I right?), made it on time for their session with enough time to catch her evening flight home!
Rachel and Tom met in high school, he was a junior and she was a year behind him. They became great friends that turned into more. They stayed together through the end of her senior year, but broke up during Rachel’s freshman year at Rowan University. Thankfully, that was not the end for them. They reconnected two years later, and started off just by talking again. By springtime, they knew it was real and lasting. They finished school, did long distance for two years while Tom was in grad school at Clemson, and bought their first home together in 2019!
Rachel loves how confident Tom is and that he keeps her laughing. He always makes sure she feels loved and cared for and he is also very handy! Rachel also loves that he supports her love for senior chihuahuas and that he was on board with her adopting one even though they already have two other dogs in the house (one of whom made the trip with them) Tom loves that she laughs at his jokes, no matter how dumb they may be. He loves that she takes care of him and that she is very patient.
Getting to explore this beautiful park with them in South Carolina was such a fun window into their personalities. Rachel is the more reserved of the two, but Tom really makes her feel comfortable and helps her open up. This destination engagement session was such a joy, and definitely worth the travel!
Where would you like to travel for your destination engagement session? Can we come along?
