It’s my birthday today! Yes, I’m a St. Patrick’s baby. It makes me feel way more Irish than the 3% of my heritage that the Emerald Isle actually makes up. When I was born shortly after midnight (first baby of the day in the hospital), after 26 hours of labor as my mother likes to remind me, they put a little shamrock cap on my head and laid me in a green blanket in the nursery.
Since it’s such a momentous occasion, I will share with you some of my favorite images that I have taken over the past year and give you a little taste of what’s to come in wedding season 2016!
I adore this image from Kelly and Shawn’s wedding. The sun was absolutely perfect as it burned through the trees on its slow descent, and these two were in their own little world as they shared their first moments together as husband and wife.
This staircase in Washington Square is a sweet little nook to hideaway in for a pair of newlyweds. Kristina and Brendan sharing a private moment here seemed the perfect time to use the 90mm tilt shift.
Oh, Victoria and Nate, be still my beating heart. This under the veil shot was nothing short of perfect. The look on her face, the gentle play of the wind and these two being adorable together… just… Ahh!
Ok, I cheated a bit. These next two are a little older than the past year. But they are two of my absolute favorites. Megan and Din (rhymes with seen) and I traipsed all around Valley Forge park and they’re basically models. We had a perfect day and a ton of fun capturing their romance for the rest of their days!
This image from Catherine and Paul’s wedding just proves that you don’t have to be kissing to have an intimate moment. I love how interlocked their hands are, and how easy this image looks. They just love being together.
I really enjoy detail shots, and this bottle of perfume and Megan’s platinum ring were a match made in heaven.
Last, but not least, I love this image of Julianne’s wedding dress. It showcases her beautiful gown and the amazing city that I have grown to love in new ways in recent years. I will always be a Philly girl!
This coming season is jam packed! We have lots of new couples that we are looking forward to getting to know better and provide them unique and timeless photographs that they will treasure for years to come. I’m getting to go to some incredible places! College of Physicians, the Ballroom at the Ben, historic Yellow Springs and many many more! I’m beyond excited to celebrate all these new marriages and then getting to share them with all of you on the blog. Keep your eyes peeled, because we are shaking things up on the blog this season too. You’ll get to see more, quicker!
