Christmas at Longwood is one of the most spectacular sights you’ll ever see. Every year, this beautiful botanical garden comes alight with hundreds of thousands of sparkling twinkle lights and is one of the cheeriest places we know of. Ariana and Matt’s wedding next year will be during the Christmas season – her favorite holiday! – so a Christmas at Longwood engagement session was the perfect fit for them. And it put us in the Christmas spirit to boot!
Let’s back up a moment, Ariana and Matt are two incredibly sweet and genuine people with huge hearts to give back to their community. Ariana is a CHOP pediatric oncology nurse who daily helps children fighting cancer and their families. What an amazing heart of pure gold she has. Matt protects and serves the community as a police office. We’re grateful for people like him. Getting to capture beautiful images during their Christmas at Longwood engagement session felt like a small token of gratitude, but we hope they understood how we felt!
They also have a beautiful love story. In their own words, “We first connected on Hinge the dating site in August 2017. Ariana downloaded the app that night, and Matt was actually the first guy she connected with. We went on our first date to the diner to get chocolate chip pancakes, and then we walked around Washington Lake Park for hours talking. Ariana and Matt kept each other very close as friends afterwards, since Ariana “friendzoned” Matt as Matt likes to tell everyone! Months later, in December 2017, Ariana discovered her feelings after becoming the best of friends with Matt in that short period of time. Matt patiently waited for her that whole time.” We got to hear this all in person during their Christmas at Longwood engagement session! What a sweet story!
We can’t wait for these two to celebrate next Christmas as husband and wife, and hope we get to do an annual anniversary session during Christmas at Longwood!
