While you’ve probably seen us popping up more and more on the blog to showcase our different types of family sessions, not everyone knows that one of our favorite things to do is follow along with our couples as they grow and build their families. One of the most personal ways that we can do this is by spending a few hours with you doing an in-home newborn session. When Alex & Joe were married at a fantastic Loews Philadelphia celebration two years ago, we only hoped we’d be so lucky as to have this chance with them!
And here we are in 2020, when one of the first sessions we were able to capture after things reopened was Alex’s maternity session. As soon as we got out of our car and saw these two again, the excitement was palpable! So after months of waiting and anticipation, arriving at their downtown Lancaster home for an in-home newborn session and getting to meet “Minimac” (as Alex & Joe referred to Henry) was truly awesome!
Henry was an awesome newborn to capture. He was calm and expressive, good natured, and so loved by everyone involved. We even had the chance to see how much love Henry’s fur-sibling Rudy already has for the little guy. While there was much love all around from Rudy, mom & dad, and even his grandparents, we all know Henry was the true star of his in-home newborn session.
