While we were wandering along for their Rutgers University engagement session, we found out all about how Kim and Chris’s love story is one for the storybooks. And during our session, we fell in love with these two.
How Kim & Chris met at Rutgers University
It began with a chance meeting at their dorm during their freshman year at Rutgers University. Kim and some friends were playing soccer in the lounge and Chris and his friends were annoyed at the noise – even though it was Kim’s floor lounge. Later on, Kim watched a scary movie in Chris’s room and he scared the crap out of her with a small Halloween toy that screams when you push the button. She almost fell down the stairs. From then on, they were inseparable.
When asked what they first thought of the other, they answered “I thought Chris was cute and had an adorable smile, but had wise ass answers to everything you asked him, which made me laugh.” “I thought Kim was loud and obnoxious, kicking soccer balls down the hallway of the dorm, causing a ruckus — but thought she was cute, had a great laugh (and great legs), and had a “take no crap” attitude that kept my “wise ass” in line.”
We were so excited when they booked us for their wedding and that feeling of excitement was only augmented by their engagement photo session on the campus of their alma mater. It helps that Chris is still there for his job.
Their Rutgers University Engagement Session
We met on campus and started at the dorm where they’d met. It was chilly for early spring, but they braved the cold together. Then we went to this wicked cool bridge that was flanked by great brick walls. From there we made our way to Passion Puddle. If that sounds familiar, it’s cause we took some great photos of Theresa and Arthur there too! In one of the cutest displays of affection we’ve seen, Chris warmed Kimberlee’s hands with his as they sat on the bench.
After Passion Puddle, we made our way to a couple of spots on Old Campus. Including a grove of freshly bloomed magnolia trees. It was a heavenly location to put these two on display! We wrapped our shoot with Chris and Kim sporting their Rutger’s University gear. A fitting tribute to the place that their romance grew.
