When we started getting to know Molly and Nick, it was clear that theirs was a truly serendipitous journey. Getting the chance to hear more about it first hand during their Washington DC winery engagement session sealed it.
Nick and Molly met in college, through mutual friends. But nothing really clicked for them then and there. Their feelings needed to age like a fine wine. Molly moved abroad and was gone for most of her 20’s. She finally moved back to the States in 2018, and reconnected with Nick. They began a vigorous texting relationship – 14 hours most days! – and planned dates weeks in advance around travel schedules. They got impatient and ended up having a date in Philly, a solid three weeks before their originally planned NYC dinner. At the end of their second date, they knew they were in love and told the other. The proposal came soon thereafter. But what was most striking about this was that their story followed the same path that Molly’s parents love story did. Met in their 20’s, reconnected when 30, fell in love and were married six months later.
Their Washington DC winery engagement session was so much fun. We could see just how well these two complement one another. They communicate so well, and they enjoy every second they’re together. We wandered through the beautiful winery, found some amazing architecture, and captured the love Nick and Molly share. With a bonus cameo from their loving dog, Annie, this session was an absolute dream!
One of the most notable things that Nick shared with about Molly was that, “No one is below Molly and she values everyone.” We can vouch for that throughout the session and our time of getting to know these two. And it’s a beautiful quality in a beautiful person.
Although 2020 has thrown a wrench on our original plans, we cannot wait for their 2021 wedding and the chance to capture the start of their forever!
