Around the holidays, Longwood Gardens transforms into a magical wonderland of lights. It was among this twinkling dreamscape, we met Aubrey and Dylan for their engagement session!
Longwood Gardens Holiday Engagement Session
Longwood Gardens is no secret to much of the world. Especially in our photography corner of the universe. Every single season is full of beauty and life. But around the holidays, they pull out all the stops. Twinkle lights for days! This was the scene for our players, and the lighting changes were perfectly executed by Mother Nature.
We met during golden hour, the time of day when the sun gets low and the light rays lengthen. The result is beautiful gold light that kisses everything with beauty. Aubrey and Dylan were just as excited as we were.
There is something incredibly sweet about these two. They are completely themselves when they are together. We fell in love with their goofiness (check out the heel pop). We loved how they were so easy together. They could go from being silly and laughing to utterly romantic and sweet. It’s blatantly obvious that they have found their best friend and partner for life. And now they were getting ready to make it official forever.
There was no better backdrop than Longwood Gardens. The little gazebo by the pond was framed by liquid gold. One of the most beautiful sights we’d seen at this stunning place. And as the sun sank, the lights came on. What had started out magical, doubled down and was worthy of greater prose than we currently have capacity to write.

I love the pictures with the Christmas lights! I also just love Longwood Gardens.
