Amy and Mike were a true love at first sight story. They both knew immediately that they’d found the one, and it’s no surprise that their beautiful and rustic wedding at the Joseph Ambler Inn was a wonderful celebration of their love.
how they met
Amy and Mike had been set up at a Memorial Day party thrown by a friend. They went on two dates in one week! Amy knew that she’d found the man she was going to marry, meanwhile Mike thought to himself, “I’m off the market”. They kept the relationship strong even through 6 months of long distance and before they knew it, they were engaged to be married.
their Joseph Ambler Inn wedding
Currently, Mike and Amy live in Florida, but her family is from this area. They decided to enjoy the change of seasons and have their wedding where friends and family could attend. The day was absolutely perfect. Warm but not hot, the leaves just starting to show signs of the changing season. Amy was happily getting ready with her mom and bridesmaids, as well as two adorable flower girls. We loved her choice of pearls as her main accessory!
Meanwhile, Mike was quickly dressing and readying himself to meet his bride at the end of the aisle. His boutonnière boasted a rose and some lovely textures. It was the finishing touch to an already dapper groom.
Their ceremony took place on the beautiful grounds of the Joseph Ambler Inn, the inn itself providing a beautiful backdrop. Amy floated down the aisle to her man. His smile was gold. They exchanged the vows they had prepared and combined two colors of sand in a unity sand ceremony. With a kiss, the deal was sealed! Husband and wife at long last.
During their golden hour portraits, we encountered an unexpected guest. One of the patrol kitties that lives around the inn came over to Amy and plopped his little keister down, right on her dress! After the initial surprise, it was a really funny moment as he made himself comfy right there on her train. He didn’t stay long, but we managed to capture that unexpected moment.
Their reception was amazing. Two words: feather boas! Everyone should have these at their wedding. Everyone was on the dance floor, even Amy’s grandmother, waving these boas around and dancing. Before we knew it, cake was cut and bouquet tossed and it was time to leave. But we had an amazing time!
Amy and Mike, we hope that you had an incredible day and wonderful honeymoon and wish you all the best of this life!
