Nicole and Patrick had their elegant Radnor Hotel wedding planned so well, it all flowed as smooth as it could. Everything from the gorgeous ceremony at the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge, through their fun-filled reception at Radnor Hotel, it all was easy and fun!
Getting Ready at Home & the Radnor Hotel
The sun was shining and the weather was delightfully mild when we arrived to begin capturing Nicole and Patrick’s day. In the room where Nicole was getting ready at her parents house, it was a happy bustle. Nicole’s simple and elegant gown hung, waiting for the time it would be donned. Her details were perfectly laid out and we happily shot away as the finishing touches of hair and makeup were done. Nicole started to get a little anxious, but was so thrilled to put on her dress that the nerves subsided a bit. They completely disappeared soon thereafter when we left for the church!
Meanwhile, Patrick and the guys were enjoying some time together as they got dressed. We even had a stand in groomsman for the morning. One of the guys was feeling poorly and was unable to attend for the first part of the day. Callahan was an acceptable replacement (their words, not ours!). We got some fun photos and then buzzed over to the Chapel!
The Ceremony at Washington Memorial Chapel
Did you know that Washington Memorial Chapel is not officially affiliated with Valley Forge National Park? It’s independently funded and preserved. And it was the most beautiful place for Nicole and Patrick to tie the knot. Among their closest family and friends, in a stunning place, they sealed their love and lives. We stayed at the church for family portraits, both inside at the altar and outside at the gorgeous arched portico attached to it. It’s worth noting that using the arches is only allowed if you have your ceremony at the church.
Portraits at Valley Forge National Park
At the Maurice Stephens House, just across from the Chapel, we gathered bridal party and Nicole and Patrick for some fun pictures. The golden light washed over everything and gave it that autumn glow that we love so much about Pennsylvania. After bridal party antics were captured for all time, we turned our attention to the newlyweds. The results speak for themselves. Then it was time to make their way over to their Radnor Hotel wedding reception!
The Radnor Hotel Wedding Reception
Nicole and Patrick’s reception was so fun from beginning to end! The introductions set the tone for an awesome dance floor. Limbo was broken out at one point! The toasts had us in stitches. Especially Patrick’s brother elaborating how the company that he worked for made an exception to their typical email format so his email address wasn’t PLunger@company.com. Dancing was the order of the evening and when it seemed Nicole and Patrick needed a minute to cool off, we stole them outside for some beautiful night portraits.
Nicole & Patrick, thank you again for all the fun and laughs at your Radnor Hotel wedding! All the best for all time!
