Downtown Club Wedding- Caitlin & Andrew

Downtown Club Wedding -Caitlin & Andrew – June 2, 2017

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for Caitlin & Andrew’s Downtown Club wedding! The sun was shining, the trees of Washington Square were swaying in a light summer breeze, and these two were both so joyous that it was contagious.

Getting Ready for their Downtown Club Wedding

We started the day at the colorful Hotel Monaco. We always love doing wedding prep at Hotel Monaco, because the rooms are filled with beautiful light and vibrant decor. Caitlin started the day off with her bridal party in colorful robes, until it was time to get ready. Caitlin looked stunning in her Kenneth Winston wedding dress, with her hair and makeup styled by the awesome Glamour Me Bridal team.  One of the best moments of the day was the excitement in her father’s eyes the first time that he saw his daughter as a bride. Our hearts melted!

His uniform was perfectly laid out and he was one of the most relaxed, happy grooms we’ve photographed this year. The guys quickly got ready and headed down to the lobby of the Hotel Monaco for some groomsmen portraits before we went off to the Magnolia Gardens for the first look & bridal party portraits.

Caitlin was a great sport as we headed over to her first look at Magnolia Gardens a few blocks away on foot! She smiled and waved as cars honked and passerby told her how beautiful she looked. We arrived and peeked over and Andrew on the other side of the gardens. Her excitement couldn’t be contained.

As she walked up to Andrew, we could feel their energy growing. When Andrew turned around and saw Caitlin all dressed up for the first time, he gave her the biggest, loving hug! It was so clear to us that they were in a world of their own.
After a few minutes of couple’s portraits, their wedding party joined us for a few group photographs before we headed back towards the Hotel Monaco for family portraits in the Thomas Jefferson Gardens.

Wedding Ceremony at Haddonfield United Methodist

This was our first time shooting at Haddonfield United Methodist and it is such a gorgeous church! One whole side of the sanctuary is covered in windows. The light as Caitlin walked down the aisle with her father made her look like an angel!

Andrew waited impatiently for his bride to meet him at the altar with a smile he could hardly contain. Their service was over before we knew it and they bounded back down the aisle for their grand exit.
If you’ve been on the blog, you know one of our favorite things is when there is a flower dog or ring pup! Unfortunately, Caitlin & Andrew’s adorable pug, Fred, was not allowed in the church, but he was soaking in the sun outside of the church for his mom and dad to make their exit!

If we thought it was exciting to see Caitlin’s dad see her for the first time, we were overwhelmed by Fred’s enthusiasm to see his parents for the first time that day! There were many sloppy dog kisses!

We made sure to get a few portraits with Fred in the church gardens.
More Wedding Portraits at Washington Square

After all of the ceremony excitement, we had the time to head over to Washington Square with Caitlin & Andrew for a beautiful portrait session while their cocktail hour over at the Downtown Club was getting started.

This is one of our favorite times, when we get to see our couples just interact alone together. Caitlin & Andrew were so perfectly in their element. The light was shining down at just the right angle. These were some of our favorite portraits from our spring/summer weddings.

Downtown Club Wedding Reception

I know we’ve said it before, but Downtown Club weddings are some of our favorite celebrations! The Cescaphe team is always on point. Caitlin & Andrew’s reception was no exception!

Their first dance was to “The Way I Am,” beautifully sung by Andrew’s sister who joined in with EBE London Bridge for the special number. And when Caitlin & her father danced, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room – not even ours!

We can’t help but get taken away during the emotional moments of a wedding day.
As the evening came to an end and the guests dove into the Downtown Club’s famous Viennese dessert table, we captured one last moment. Andrew gently dancing with his grandmother.

We were so honored to spend the day with you, Caitlin & Andrew. Capturing your joy & deep love for one another was a very special privilege. We wish you (and Fred) many happy years to come!

Special thank you to Amberlee at Whimsical Imagery by Amberlee for second shooting this wedding with us!
