Kelly and Shawn are an amazing couple. High school sweethearts, their love story is one that will warm your heart. In Kelly’s own words, “Shawn and I met on a school bus, the first day of our freshman year of high school. Initially we didn’t really care for each other but somehow grew to become close friends during the first few years of high school but due to different commitments and relationships, we drifted apart. We started getting close again senior year and I knew that I had true feelings for him. The week of graduation I told him how I truly felt and that I couldn’t just be his best friend anymore. We parted ways and the next day he came over, told me he loved me from the beginning but was just too afraid to ruin our friendship if I didn’t feel the same way. We have been together ever since.”
They got engaged and decided that they would love a winter engagement session. So we bundled up and headed outside to the chilly, snow covered fields of Bucks County. Winter has a way of driving you together, you huddle together for warmth, snuggle up to shield one another from the chill of the air. It facilitates coziness in a way that summer never could.
As their session wore on, we got to see how perfectly these two fit together. Shawn makes Kelly laugh effortlessly. Kelly elicits the most adoring gazes and embraces from Shawn. It was a true pleasure photographing their loving interactions. And her incredible ring!
