Kelly + Shawn | Married - Greater Philadelphia Wedding Photography & Videography Team

Kelly and Shawn got married this past October and it was an incredibly sweet, heartfelt and beautiful wedding.

The unusually warm weather had continued late into the month, and it was a wonderful day with abundant sunshine when we arrived to photograph Kelly and Shawn as they got ready for their wedding. Kelly and her bridesmaids were all full of joy and nervous energy as they got hair and makeup done. Their beautiful blush pink dresses draped across the bed while Kelly’s JLM Couture gown designed by Lazaro hung over them were each unique to their bridesmaid. Her jewelry was laid out and her peachy pink Badgley Mischka shoes sparkled on the dresser. A little blue bow tied on the underside of her gown served as her something blue. The stunning bouquets stood in vases, awaiting the ladies who would carry them down the aisle. With a deep sigh of anticipation, Kelly stepped into her dress and her maid of honor zipped her up and tied the beautiful accent belt around her waist. The time had come, it was time to walk down the aisle and Kelly absolutely could not wait.

Meantime, Shawn and his band of guys were having a great time getting ready. Their gray suits with blush pink ties were elegant and had a timeless feel. Shawn proudly showed off the bottle of Macallan that they would be toasting with later in the evening. After each guy had laced up their special ordered Chuck Taylors, they piled out to the party bus and were off, after a brief stop at the bank, to get Shawn to his position at the end of the aisle to marry his long time love.

Kelly very sadly lost her mother when she was only two years old, but she has never forgotten her. Her picture was in the hotel room with her as she got ready, and her father held it as they walked down the aisle together. It was an emotional moment for all as they witnessed this touching tribute to Kelly’s mom. The two happily exchanged vows as the sun began to sink low in the sky, setting the autumn leaves aflame. Once their vows were sealed with rings and a kiss, it was time to party!

Their reception room was a beautiful barn and they had decorated it beautifully. With a rustic romantic theme, there were flowers everywhere, woodcuts, and mason jar favors set out on the bar. They had a naked cake, where the frosting is very minimal, and the string lights glowed softly overhead. When the music cranked up, everyone got on the dance floor. Kelly shared a special dance with her father and godfather and Shawn twirled his mother all about the dance floor. Kelly’s niece caught the bouquet and everyone had a wonderful evening celebrating the love of these two beautiful people. Kelly was even kind enough to send a centerpiece arrangement home with each member of the AGP team that night. We cherished those flowers long after they wilted. This wedding will remain with us for a long time.
