It was a beautiful day for Courtney and Scott’s Le Meridien wedding. After some early nerves, these two came together for an incredibly happy wedding day filled with love and great fun!
Getting Ready at Le Meridien
When we arrived to begin photographing Courtney, she was a little nervous. All the intensive planning leading up to the day was done, and now all she had to do was enjoy herself. That’s a hard switch to make sometimes. To give her some time, we asked for her details and photographed her gorgeous champagne and lace Anna Maier gown along with her *swoon* Jimmy Choo heels. When everything was laid out all together, it was a beautiful reflection of Courtney’s elegant style and vision for her Le Meridien wedding day.
With the help of her mom and bridesmaids, she slipped into the dress and put on her jewelry. When everything was perfect, she opened Scott’s sweet note, and the nerves melted away. Excitement swelled in her and we knew we had to quickly get her to her first look before she burst.
Meanwhile, Scott and his guys were enjoying themselves and the excellent gift he’d given them. Customized caricature flasks and a healthy pour of scotch. Guys always have an easier time of getting ready and so, in a jiffy, Scott was on his way to his first look with Courtney.
First Look and Portraits at City Hall
It was pleasantly warm (well, for all of us in dresses), and Scott was anxiously awaiting Courtney’s arrival outside City Hall. As soon as she touched his shoulder, he turned and smiled. She was stunning. They fell together sweetly and we enjoyed a time of photographing them alone. The fountains at City Hall made for a really fun and unique set of images and the stone lent a classic air. We then vamoosed to Rittenhouse Square for some greenery before a pitstop on Broad St. William Penn looked fantastic as these two snuggled and enjoyed some under the veil time for one of Philadelphia’s most iconic wedding photos.
Then it was time for family pictures and a freshen up before the ketubah ceremony.
The Le Meridien Wedding Ceremony
After an intimate ketubah signing, Courtney and Scott were married in a beautiful ceremony in the library of Le Meridien. This warm room with massive windows was beautiful. At the top of the aisle, their chuppah was gloriously appointed with flowers by Maura Rose Floral Design.
Courtney walked with her parents down the aisle to a smiling Scott. Their ceremony was sweet, packed with tradition, and sealed with a kiss. As Scott brought his foot down on the glass, a shout of Mazel Tov was raised, and they joyfully walked out as husband and wife.
The Le Meridien Wedding Reception
Courtney and Scott’s Le Meridien wedding reception is one we won’t soon forget. Their first dance was beautiful and full of deep gazes into each others eyes. Initially skeptical, Courtney braved the chair lift of the hora and danced with the best of them. There was a sweet toast given by Cheryl, Courtney’s mom, and lots of tender moments shared with her father, Eric, during their father daughter dance. Scott’s mom couldn’t stop beaming during their dance together. But far and away our favorite bit was the best man’s speech. We don’t want to embarrass Scott too badly, but suffice it to say, Tippy the Seal will remain one of our favorite things ever.
The night wore away into dancing and before we knew it, we were saying goodnight to this incredible couple.
Courtney and Scott, thank you so much for letting us be part of your beautiful wedding day. We wish you many years of incredible happiness together!
