Spring has finally shown signs of arriving and this week’s warm weather has me dreaming of even warmer climates! Although our team has been carefully following social distancing guidelines whenever we haven’t been at events (& we’ve been working those events as safely as we can), now that we are mostly vaccinated, we’re dreaming & planning our next adventures.
No sooner had I started planning a long weekend with my husband in sunny Amelia Island, but my friend Joe who runs Groovy Girl Gifts (as well as Groovy Guy Gifts, Forever Wedding Favors, and the Bridesmaid Gifts Boutique) connected out with me to see if I’d like to test run any of their new line of gifts being announced JUST IN TIME for Mother’s Day (& spring wedding season, for you ladies looking for perfect gifts for the important women on your day!)
So, with travel on my mind, I decided to take him up on his offer of a beautiful nautical striped Canvas Weekender bag, so I’ll be ready for my April trip in style! I took my new travel bag on a test run for my last studio weekend and it was perfect – not only was I able to fit my weekend’s worth of clothes and toiletries in it neatly, but it was spacious enough for me to pack my Powersheets, laptop, most recent business read, and a 1000 piece puzzle (my most recent socially distant addiction) with room to spare.
Maybe you’re not as much of an over-packer as I am, but Groovy Girl Gifts has purses, totes, and travel bags ranging in size and style enough to suit anyone’s preference. There was a convenient inner zipper for me to put my most important little items, like my favorite lip balm & my earrings and an easy access outer zipper, sized just right for my passport (whenever I can leave the country safely again).
If there was any way to improve on the bag, I’d love a side compartment on the outside to keep my sneakers apart from my clothes, but it was nothing that a travel tote couldn’t solve on the inside.
