Aminah and Robbie had already gotten married in July of 2020, but covid had delayed their massive celebration at Terrain at Devon Yards long enough. We were thrilled to be part of the fun and festivities nearly 18 months later.
Getting Ready at the Palomar & at Home
When we arrived for Aminah and Robbie’s celebration day, we were struck by the slightly different vibe of the wedding party. Everyone is always really excited for the couple, but this was unique. Typically, there’s an underlying current of mildly anxious anticipation, but on this day, there was no anxiety to be found. They were already married! Today’s events and the reception at Terrain at Devon Yards were all fun, and no “work”. They’d been waiting for this party, and they were gonna live it up!
Aminah’s incredible wedding ensemble was breathtaking. The sequined sari was emphasized by the dazzling headpieces, statement necklace, and of course, her perfect wedding rings. We loved the green jewel tones of her bridesmaids dresses for their vibrance. But nothing was as vibrant as Aminah’s smile.
Meanwhile, just a few blocks away, Robbie and the guys were having a grand old time together. It was an easy wedding day look for him, with his heirloom cufflinks stealing the show a bit. The guys all made sure to raise a toast of some yummy scotch before grabbing their coats for the chilly walk to Rittenhouse Square and the picture portion of the day.

January 8th was really cold, but everyone toughed it out for these fun photos ahead of the Terrain at Devon Yards reception. The spectacular golden light haloed everyone and captured the inward glow everyone felt. Aminah and Robbie’s portraits were lots of cuddling together for warmth. Their laughter pierced the cold air and sparkled in the sunshine. We love how they were so at home with one another. A feeling they were anxious for their guests to experience during their reception at Terrain at Devon Yards. So we hit the road.
The Reception at Terrain at Devon Yards
The beautiful barn at Terrain at Devon Yards was transformed into a harvest style celebration of friends and family and love for Aminah and Robbie’s reception. It was of utmost importance to them that they enjoy the evening with those closest to them in a familial atmosphere. It was like being around one massive dining room table. The twinkling lights, rich gold accents, and the flower pot roll for each person was so welcoming. It’s safe to say that their wedding vision came true. Terrain at Devon Yards served an amazing meal for all, and the evening was punctuated with several toasts to the not-so-newlyweds.
Dancing kicked up after a few more chilly twinkle light portraits outside, and then it was time for us to say goodbye. Congratulations to this amazing couple!
