Epic Wedding at the Queen | Faran & Benjamin

Getting Ready at the Westin Wilmington Waterfront

All members of our team, unusually, started off the day with Benjamin and his boys, relaxing, snacking, jamming to music while getting ready for the day’s festivities. After donning a classic black tuxedo, Benjamin impressed even us with his bowtie tying skills. We arrived to Faran’s room prepared with snacks sent over from the guys. Benjamin knew his soon-to-be-bride would have worked up an appetite. Her gorgeous details were laid out including both pairs of Faran’s wedding shoes, her gorgeous gown, and classic gold jewelry. Once both bride and groom were dressed and ready for their wedding at The Queen, we headed down to the hotel lobby for their first look.

First Look at the Westin Wilmington Waterfront

Benjamin planted his feet halfway down the staircase and awaited his beautiful bride. When Faran made her way down to him and tapped him on the shoulder, he could hardly hold it together. Their eyes lit up as they turned around to greet each other for the first time on their wedding day. With some slight showers going on outside, we made great use of the space around the Westin lobby for a few comfy couples portraits before heading over to an epic wedding at The Queen.

Portraits at The Queen

The Queen’s historic theater was truly an epic spot for portraits. Faran was a showstopper in her flowing satin gown and Benjamin fit the part in his timeless black tux. The bride and groom stopped for a few poses while exploring the house and upper level balconies with stunning stage views. They even got the chance to cozy up in the lounge of the Main Hall before it filled with all their treasured guests at cocktail hour. When Faran and Benjamin gathered their closest friends and family, we couldn’t resist setting up a few Vogue-style shots in this incredible space. Now it was finally time for their wedding ceremony at the Queen.

Ceremony & Reception in the Olympia Room at the Queen

Faran was walked down the aisle by her father to Benjamin awaiting her with an even bigger smile on his face. They read their vows and exchanged their wedding rings in front of their most beloved family and friends. After heading back up the aisle, everyone gathered in the Main Hall for cocktails and admired the historical Queen theater donned with incredible custom artwork and classical features.

When Faran and Benjamin returned to the now candle-lit Olympia Room, they were announced as husband and wife for the first time after their intimate wedding ceremony at The Queen. Surrounded by the most important people in their lives, they shared an amazing first dance under the chandeliers over the dance floor. Before dialing it down for dinner, they opened the dance floor and guests showed off their moves. A special dance was saved for Faran’s grandmother, who was celebrating her birthday, where everyone cheered and danced along in celebration of this special day.

Faran & Benjamin’s unique venue and cherished wedding was definitely one to remember. From the warmness of their love, to the majestic scenery and intimate moments, it was an epic wedding at The Queen. Thank you for letting us play a part of this show-stopping day!
