Vue on 50 Wedding | Lisa Naujoks and Les Muluh

When a couple meets at the first Made in America festival, the concert series over Labor Day weekend started by Jay-Z, it is perfectly poetic that they should get married the same weekend, ten years later. That’s exactly what Lisa and Les did with their Vue on 50 wedding!

Getting Ready for their Vue on 50 Wedding

The stage was set at the Sonesta Hotel for Lisa and her bridal party as they got ready for this beautiful wedding day. All of her details were carefully curated, and set out for us to capture. The show stealers were the wedding bands. These incredible symbols of the promised love consummated on a wedding day were utterly stunning. We made sure to give them their own moment to reflect and shine before we made our way to the Vue on 50 wedding.

As she slipped into her gorgeous gown, her bridesmaids squealed with joy. Lisa’s transformation was complete and we were ready for first look!

Meanwhile, the guys were a bit slow on getting started, though very excited. Les’s amazing green suit with a double breasted vest was a vibe. His million watt smile added and completed the look to perfection. After some water and a pour of some excellent whiskey, he was totally ready to meet Lisa at Logan Fountain, at the edge of the place they’d met ten years before.

First Look & Portraits at Logan Circle

There are so many things we love about Philadelphia, and the energy downtown was unmatched for the Made in America festival. Everyone who saw Les and the groomsmen catcalled and yelled their congratulations and when he was patiently waiting for Lisa and she showed up, there was a captive audience to this special moment. In the shadow of Vue on 50, Lisa swept up behind Les and held his hand. He turned to see her, and his sunglasses – that he insisted on wearing – hid the fact that he had started crying. Well, hid to everyone except Lisa. She knew. We lingered around the fountain for portraits and wedding party shenanigans before heading back to the Vue on 50 courtyard for family and few more pictures of these two lovebirds.

The Vue on 50 Wedding Ceremony & Reception

High above the parkway, looking down on the very place they’d met ten years earlier, Lisa and Les met under a beautiful floral arch to share their vows with one another and became husband and wife. They stopped midway up the aisle and shared a second “first kiss” – which we LOVED! How awesome to have that moment where they are literally surrounded by family and friends, instead of just in front of them.

The Vue on 50 wedding ceremony was perfect, but the reception was off the hook.

We’ve seen a lot of traditional dollar dances, but Les’s family from Cameroon might have our favorite version. During Les’s dance with is mom, his family came out to the dance floor, and danced along with them while gently showering dollar bills down. The floor was covered! They laughed together and basked in the warmth of familial affection as they wished this young man and his new bride a life of health and wealth and love. This continued throughout the night with multiple moments where the action had to stop to clear the money from the dance floor. As the night wore on, the bills would sometimes stick to sweaty foreheads and that made for some really fun photographs. Les’s mom had also ordered traditional African wedding attire for Lisa, Les, and the groomsmen. They entered a second time to a rousing applause.

It seems fitting that Lisa and Les’s Vue on 50 wedding would turn into an amazing party, high above the party they’d first met at. We know that their life together will never be dull and wish them many years of fun and love together.
