Are you ready to rrrruuuuuummmmmmbbbbllllleeeeee??? Deanna and Tim got married in late August and they didn’t do anything halfway. 14 groomsmen and 7 bridesmaids, wrestling champ belts, a handmade “Money in the Bank” suitcase full of gifts, all the attention to hair and makeup, right up to the boisterous bride and groom themselves – this wedding was off the charts.
This wedding was off the hook. When we arrived at the SHERATON SOCIETY HILL, we were immediately greeted with fabulous details and gregarious people. Deanna had an array of textures in her bouquet and their wedding rings were a mismatched metal set that was perfectly complementary. Tim had a room packed full of guys having a good time while they got ready. And I mean packed! 15 men in one room is a lot!
We orchestrated the first look at the top of a picturesque staircase where Tim waited for his lovely bride to be. Deanna excitedly moved into her position, and before we even gave her the go ahead she started walking towards her groom. After a brief pause at our behest, these two loves made a beeline for each other and shared a long embrace followed by tender kisses. These moments never become rote to us, each one is so unique, as unique as the two individuals and their love.
Then we toured Old City Philadelphia with stops at the First National Bank, Race Street Pier, and the Merchant Exchange Building for photos of the bridal party and the lovely bride and groom. We enjoyed the warm summer day and when we were finished we were excited to get into the air conditioned ballroom for the ceremony and reception.
Their reception was awesome, lots of dancing and people celebrating the newlyweds. And their cake topper was awesome! Hungry hungry hippos duking it out for the wedding rings. Something we’ve never seen before. Overall, this wedding was one that won’t soon leave our memory.
There’s much more from this wedding in previous blog posts – part one, part two and part three.
