Pink and blue wedding colors
Back in May, we had the distinct privilege of being involved in a creative editorial shoot organized by the incredible Amanda Sandford of An Intentional Event that was based on a stunning painting by Antione Vestier. Portrait of a Lady with a Book is an evocative painting from the 1700’s and as we all delved deeper into it, we drew so much inspiration and the results were stunning.
There were so many incredible Philly wedding professionals that helped on this shoot, and we will be highlighting them all on Friday, so make sure you come back for even more inspiration.
The Editorial Shoot at College of Physicians
It was a perfectly stunning day in May when we arrived at one of our favorite Philadelphia venues, the College of Physicians. In the library room upstairs, we set up a head table, sweetheart table, and dessert table full of beauty and charm. Desserts by Dana provided some of the most lovely and sinful looking cake pops and a gorgeous five tiered wedding cake. The cake was decorated with lovely fondant flowers and a fondant ribbon in a direct correlation to the bow in the painting. There were also the most elegant macarons you’ve ever seen, created by Nutmeg and Honeybee. Navy blue with a swatch of gold streaking the top. Stunning.
The florals from Leigh Florist were to die for. Lush and full, featuring lovely pastel pinks and bright greens. The ladies rings were L Priori Jewelry’s creations and they were perfectly delicate and lovely.
We had several models as our bride and groom and two bridesmaids. The dresses were provided by Bella Bridesmaids and Jennifer’s Bridal. The bride wore a gorgeous Hayley Paige gown. The groom was fitted by The Black Tux. The ladies accessories were from Trousseau Style. The delicate pastels and shapes were beautifully feminine and a great accent to the dresses. Makeup provided by Jazmin Rae Makeup.
The stationery suite was incredible. The rich hue of the navy and the delicate floral liner could have come straight from the painting. April Lynne Designs really outdid herself. The calligraphy was provided by Tallulah Ketubahs, and the gold ink simply popped off the page.
Lexi Eveleth of Everlaser created the beautiful signage, including the sign over the sweetheart table. The intricate workings of laser cuttings add an air of sophistication to any event and were the perfect addition to this styled shoot.
Finally, our good friends Brittani Elizabeth and Be Films Cinema were there to help us document the day. Anthony from Be Films documented the entire shoot and interviewed Ashley regarding the inspiration. You can find the film at the end of the images.
