This Aldie Mansion wedding joining Molly and Chris, was the culmination of a story that began with a chance meeting in a laundry room while at college. With first thoughts like, “wow, this girl is absolutely breathtaking!”, and “why is person I’ve never met telling me so much about his laundry?”, the stage was set for an epic romance to blossom. And blossom it did, and we were so excited to be there for the next chapter.
Getting Ready at Aldie Mansion
The beautifully ornate bridal suite at Aldie Mansion made for fabulous wedding preparations for Molly and her closest ladies. Bedecked in blush robes, with a special hot pink one for mom, the girls were all buzzing excitedly about the big moment. The moment when Molly would put on her Donna Morello gown and complete the transformation into wedding day bride. But before that would happen, we had to capture the beauty of her details. And not just hers, Chris’s mustachioed socks and ornate pipes conjured feelings of dapper gentlemen gathered for a special occasion. Which today certainly was.
Once the details were captured, it was time. Washed in the lovely window light, Molly gracefully stepped into her wedding dress. The lace back was buttoned by her mom. Her bridesmaids all looked on with delight. Their friend was an exquisite bride. And it was time for her go find Chris. Who, conveniently, was waiting just outside.
The First Look and Portraits at Aldie Mansion
Standing outside on the terrace, Chris waited patiently. He cut a handsome figure in his finely tailored tux and bright smile. As Molly approached, floating along the pathway, we saw Chris struggling to contain his excitement. When she placed her hand on his shoulder, he gently placed his on top. After a little squeeze, he turned to her and drank in her radiance.
It would be an understatement to say these two are truly madly deeply in love. You could see it in every glance, smile, squeeze of the hand, embrace, and tender kiss. We were sad when the time came to move on to the ceremony, because letting these two be together and photographing it was such a joy.
The Aldie Mansion Wedding Ceremony
The weather was simply spectacular as guests took their seats on the lawn, watching Chris wait for his wife to be. In a grand entrance from the terrace of the mansion, Molly and her father walked down the sweeping pathway to where her groom stood.
There, in the warm sunshine, Chris and Molly joined their hearts in marriage and began their next phase as a married couple.
Guests adjourned to the terrace for cocktail hour and soon it was time for the reception.
The Aldie Mansion Wedding Reception
Before heading inside for dinner and dancing, Molly’s parents offered her a toast from the balcony. They highlighted her caring nature and drive to succeed. Joyful tears began to well as they enumerated all the ways they were proud of her and how happy today was. This set the tone for the party.
The dance floor opened once the cake was cut and it was a blur of dancing and lights. It felt all too soon that we had to leave.
Molly and Chris, your darling romance, begun in a laundry room at Ursinus, was a joy to capture and we hope you enjoy many years of together forever.
