Artesano Wedding | Katie & Dan

Katie & Dan feel their lives together truly started after they bought their home and adopted their first dog in Manayunk. It’s one of the many reasons they were so excited to spend their full wedding day in town. On a perfect Spring day filled with close friends, colors, and cuddles, Katie & Dan tied the knot in a beautiful Holy Family Roman Catholic Church ceremony. Culminated with an amazing Artesano wedding celebration, it was a joy to capture their special day!

Getting Ready for the Artesano Wedding Day

Katie & her gaggle of girls began the day getting ready in her Manayunk home. We loved finding so many personal details to use as we gathered her wedding day accessories to photograph. The morning felt like a sleepover party as bridesmaids were helping each other apply jewels and lashes to their eyes, press on nails to their fingers, and step into colorful gowns. After Katie’s soon to be sister-in-law Dana did the final touch ups on her hair, Katie’s mom and sisters assisted her into an elegant Allure a-line gown.

With so many close friends by her side, it was so special when Katie made sure that each bridesmaid had a hand in getting her prepped for the Artesano wedding day ahead. Her sisters helped place the veil that they both wore on their wedding day over Katie’s head. Finally, they hopped on the City Sightseeing trolley and headed for their first stop. Arriving at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, it was time to get Katie & Dan married!

Meanwhile, Dan spent his morning getting ready at the Residence Inn Conshohocken with his groomsmen. Jenn’s never worked a wedding without a Wawa soft pretzel, so we know she was thrilled to find a box of Dan’s favorite food from Philly Pretzel Factory upon arrival. To honor his late mother, Dan was gifted cufflinks featuring her photos to wear on his Artesano wedding day. Dan put on his accompanying attire before cracking a cold one with the boys. In his glorious green SuitShop suit and brown leather accessories, Dan was ready to meet his bride at the altar.

Holy Family Roman Catholic Church Ceremony

Only a short distance from their home, Katie & Dan chose the marvelous Holy Family Roman Catholic Church to make their marriage official. With Dan waiting at the adorned altar, Katie and her father walked down the aisle to meet him. They exchanged prayers, vows, and rings in a traditional Catholic ceremony before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. The new Mr. & Mrs. Madden made their exit through the church doors with their bright and colorful wedding party waiting outside. Next stop, an Artesano wedding reception!

Friends & Family

After family formals at the church, we gathered friends and family in the gardens of the venue. An Artesano wedding was the perfect choice for Katie’s colorful wedding wants. The gardens surrounding the venue are the perfect places for pigmented portraits. Katie in her clean white wardrobe stood out from her bounty of bridesmaids in muted pops of color and blossoming bouquets by Papertini. With his groomsmen in blue, Dan attracted attention with his green suit as he posed for pictures with the guys. If you couldn’t tell by the size of their wedding party, friends and family are super important to Katie & Dan. We planned for enough time to capture their loved ones at church and Artesano before heading to cocktail hour.

Gorgeous Garden Portraits

After sending friends and family inside, we began exploring more of the flourishing florals and stagnant statues of the Artesano gardens with the newlyweds. Katie’s soft smile that initially attracted Dan to her beamed as we wandered the gardens. Her gorgeous gown from Bijou Bridal swayed as she danced with Dan in the courtyard. As we made our way across the street to the reception room, they paused for a peck amongst the Manayunk traffic. Finally, it was time to celebrate at their Artesano wedding reception!

Artesano Wedding Celebration

Stunningly set with its signature spot lights and ostentatious art, The Upper Gallery of Artesano was ready for a reception. Entering up the stairs, the newlyweds are introduced for the first time as husband and wife before their first dance. Emotions flooded through the room as Katie & Dan heard heartwarming speeches from their friends and family. The Madden’s cut their beautiful Bredenbeck’s cake and hit the photobooth before dancing the rest of the night away with DJ Timmy G at their Artesano wedding!
