When the bride is an industry professional and meticulously designs all of the floral details in the wedding you know it’s going to be a stunning wedding day. That’s exactly what happened at Melissa and Max’s Wedding at The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve.
Getting Ready for the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve Wedding
Melissa’s wedding day began in her family home. Her dress hung in the bedroom, framed beautifully by the curtains and backlit by the morning sun. Her bouquet and bridesmaids’ bouquets, which Melissa made herself (she is the owner of Tully Floral Design) lined the living room window as the girls had their hair and makeup done in the dining room.
We had so much fun setting up a beautiful flat lay of the invites by Zazzle, styled with Tully Floral Design flowers (Melissa’s own company!), I.N.C. shoes and silver platters from her mother’s home decor.
Melissa was helped into her Martina Liana dress from Van Cleve Bridal by her mother before making her way down the beautifully decorated stairs for a first look with her father who was blown away by how amazing his daughter looked.
Max’s day began at the Hilton Garden Inn near Ellis Preserve getting ready alongside his groomsmen, father, and grandfather. After putting on his suit from Saget’s Formalwear with a little help from his best man he helped his grandfather get ready too. The final touch was to pin on the boutonnieres which Melissa had also made.

First Look & Portraits at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve
At the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve Max waited with excitement to see his bride for the first time. As she tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around, the smile on his face said it all. While they were still reeling from seeing each other we opted to make some couples’ portraits and make use of the beautiful grounds at Ellis Preserve.

Ceremony at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve
As the ceremony approached, so did dark clouds. The call was made to set up the indoor ceremony just in case and the Finley Catering team worked swiftly to turn the reception space around. Fortunately, the clouds passed by and the outdoor ceremony was able to continue. Under a copper pipe arbor decorated with florals by Tully Floral Design. Melissa and Max said their vows, flanked by their wedding party and infant nephew.

The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve Wedding Reception
At the reception, there were fun entrances by the wedding party before the bride and groom entered and went straight into their first dance. After a lovely meal by Finley Catering, some heartfelt toasts were given by the best man, maid of honor and father of the bride. Shortly after BVT Live got the party started and the newlyweds danced the evening away with their nearest and dearest.

Melissa and Max, thank you so much for bringing us along for your wedding day. We had so much fun and we wish you both a long and happy life together.
