Saturday’s wedding was a whirlwind of fabulous details, friends and family (including adorable children), and celebrating Britney and Joey as they start their married adventure together. When we arrived at Britney’s family home, we were greeted by a happily hustling and bustling house full of people. There were hair and makeup artists, bridesmaids and groomsmen, family and lots of little feet pattering across the floor, and in the midst of it all, Britney getting ready for her ceremony. Bit of backstory, Britney and Joey had actually gotten married on April 2nd in Florida, and this second wedding was so that they could celebrate with their friends and family from this area. So everyone was all together as they got ready, and Joey and Britney even ran into each other a few times in the flurry of activity in the morning.
Britney had the most exquisite details. Her love of fine vintage and Parisian items really shined in her wedding attire. Her beautiful Demetrios Casabella Milano wedding dress was a lovely lace and beaded dress with a long train. When paired with her mother’s cathedral length veil with a stunning lace Juliet cap, it was like we’d stepped into a Victorian dream. Her perfectly coordinated pearl bracelet, sparkling waterfall earrings, and, of course, her gold solitaire engagement ring only served to augment the feel and look of complete elegance. Her bridesmaids completed the look with their rosy pink BHLDN gowns with lovely little lace cap sleeves. It was a truly elegant bridal party. Oh, and her flower girl! How adorable is she? We died when we saw her little gold jelly sandals.
Meanwhile, Joey got ready in the basement, or more accurately, the man-cave. A room filled to the brim with historic Hollywood and sports paraphernalia. There was a marquee sign congratulating Britney and Joey, and it was against that backdrop that the guys all got ready. There was a lot of joking, laughing, helping one another figure out pocket squares and suspenders. Joey seemed to enjoy himself and soon it was time for their first look in their outfits.
Since they’d already been married and seen each other that day, their first look was more about them having a moment to themselves and Britney had a gift she wanted to share with Joey. A special album she had ordered for his eyes only. Afterwards, a family friend brought his vintage Rolls Royce by, and we had some fun with portraits involving the car before heading to another friends house for portraits.
By the time we arrived at Fisher’s Tudor House, we were ready to party it up at the reception, and after a quick ceremony, that’s exactly what we did. The rest of the night was a blur of toasts from the two best men, the maid of honor, a whirly twirly father daughter dance and Britney and Joey dancing together in their own little world.
Britney and Joey, we wish you guys the very best and hope that your second wedding day was as magical as the first!
xo, Ashley
