New Year’s Eve for us was spent celebrating with Jessica and Tom and all their closest family and friends at the Cescaphe Ballroom. And wow, what a party it was!
Getting Ready for Their Cescaphe Ballroom Wedding
Jessica’s Mori Lee dress hung in the window, ready for it’s moment in the spotlight. We fell hard for the lacey sleeves, and couldn’t wait to see her in it. Her Invitations by Me invites with their lovely delicate laser cuts added some drama for the detail photos. When all the lovely little pieces had been photographed, it was time for Jessica to get dressed.
Before being helped into her dress by her older sister, Kara, we had to capture the ladies toast on the front porch. Each in matching tops, Jess stood out in her white and veil. She is the bride after all!
Then it was upstairs to slip into her gown. When she was dressed, she surprised her dad at the bottom of the stairs with his own special moment. His baby was getting married.
At his parent’s home in the Northeast, Tom was getting dressed too. His suspenders and white bow tie cut a dashing figure. Upstairs, his mom and dad were making sure everyone was taken care of, including Rachel. Yay for donut holes! Then it was off to the church.

The St Christopher’s Church Ceremony
The gentlemen arrived at the church quite early, so they stood outside shooting the breeze for a bit. Never have we laughed so hard while hanging out with a group of groomsmen before. Tom was in high spirits, and beyond ready for Jessica to get there and marry her.
The ceremony was a traditional Catholic ceremony. It seemed to fly by. Vows exchanged, a huge kiss to celebrate, and a newlywed couple triumphantly rushing back up the aisle together forever.

Portraits in Old City
It was a little drizzly, but we didn’t care. We fired portraits off left and right. Racing time to use all the light we could. We even used some of the light that Philly had to share to create some lovely portraits. The rain fell a little steadier when we reached Broad St, but it was so worth it. Glittery droplets surrounded them and made their moment even more magical.
Then it was time to party.

The Cescaphe Ballroom Reception
All of Cescaphe’s venues are a joy to photograph, and this was no exception. The bar begged to be stood upon, so we put our couple up there for a few images. The entertainment provided by The Insiders was top notch. Once the dance floor got started, there was no stopping. Oh, did we mention that one of our awesome September brides was a bridesmaid? Ali and John were there and helped them ring in the New Year in the best way. The whole evening culminated in an epic countdown to 2019. Glasses were raised, kisses shared, and then more dancing ensued. It was a night to remember.

Tom and Jessica, having known you for two years now, (see what I did there?) we know that you will have an amazing life together and will toast to you every NYE!
