While the AGP team has captured a couple of Tendenza wedding days in our 10 years as Philadelphia wedding photographers, we were especially excited for Laura & Joe’s Cescaphe wedding at Tendenza. Our first wedding back after their recent renovations did not disappoint! The gorgeous Spring wedding day started off in the chic suites of AKA Rittenhouse before heading to Philadelphia City Hall for portraits, and finally making our way to Tendenza for a ceremony with a surprise and an absolutely stunning wedding reception.
Getting Ready for the Cescaphe Wedding at Tendenza
In a spacious suite with the most beautiful natural light, Laura & her bridesmaids prepared for the Tendenza wedding day at the luxurious AKA Rittenhouse. We got to work capturing her minimal and modern details- a classic pair of bridal heels and fun pair of pearl Converse sneakers, a custom clay ring dish with their wedding date inscribed, and classic gold wedding bands with personal engraving. Giving the final touch to Laura’s bridal look, the beauty team placed a few glamorous pearls in her curly bridal updo. Before getting into her simply stunning gown, she posed with her bridesmaids in their matching sage green silky pajamas. It was all hands on deck as each bridesmaid helped lift the dress over Laura’s head. After adding her bridal accessories, the girls were off to meet Joe & the groomsmen at City Hall!
When we arrived to the grooms room, Joe was busy handwriting the vows he would soon read to Laura. Then, there was a sudden knock at the door from a bridesmaid bringing a small bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note from the bride for the groom. How sweet! Joe’s sense of humor was on full display with his charming butthole cufflinks & tie clip that he & each groomsmen donned. They also included a special nod to the ‘holiday’ his Tendenza wedding day fell on with their “I’m not as think as you stoned I am” socks. When it became time to get dressed, Joe suited up in his classic black jacket and stylish snakeskin boots before his father stepped in to pin the boutonniere. Finally, it was time to head to Philadelphia City Hall for a first look with his bride.
First Look, Portraits, & Wedding Party at Philadelphia City Hall
Through the tunnels of Philadelphia City Hall, Laura emerged and tapped an awaiting Joe on the shoulder. Their smiles radiated as the groom turned around to view his bride for the first time on their wedding day. The Spring flowers blooming just in time to add a beautiful pop of color to the surrounding stone structure. Their wedding party joined for a few formal & fun photos as the Philadelphia locals strolling by gave their congratulations. After a few more snaps of Laura & Joe in front of the alluring architecture, they boarded the trolley headed to their Cescaphe wedding at Tendenza.
Tendenza Wedding Ceremony
The ballroom at Tendenza, warmly lit with rows of modern black and brown wicker chairs lined with candles and florals, set the stage for a romantic wedding ceremony. Both of Joe’s parents walked him down the aisle where he waited just a few moments for his bride. Then, in the arms of her mother and father, Laura waltzed down the aisle towards Joe. Officiated by a close friend, the ceremony was full of laughter, with a joke or two about their joint union. Laura first read her handwritten vows to Joe while her maid of honor held back tears. When it was Joe’s turn, he drew a beautiful big smile from his bride before making a surprise announcement to their guests, telling the crowd that Laura is pregnant! Cheers rang out ahead of the bride and grooms first kiss, officially sealing their joint union.
After capturing the last few family portraits in the outdoor courtyard, the sun began to set & we couldn’t resist snagging a few more portraits of the bride and groom basking in the gorgeous glow.
Cescaphe Wedding Reception at Tendenza
When we said our first wedding back at Tendenza after recent renovations did not disappoint, we meant it! The ambiance created by the warm crystal chandeliers, classic white and green floral centerpieces, and modern wooden accents was undeniably romantic & inviting. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed Joe & Laura’s JENGA guest book, photo booth, and live wedding painter.
The newlyweds made the grand entrance to their Cescaphe wedding reception at Tendenza leading straight into their first dance as husband and wife. The pair paraded around the dance floor, ending with an epic kiss as the Cescaphe petal cannon left flowers falling around them. Laura’s father expressed the great love he has for his daughter while the maid of honor and best man talked of their fond memories & gave their well wishes to the newlyweds. After a delicious dinner, all the single ladies gathered on the dance floor, hoping to be the next future bride. Laura looked over her shoulder and gave her bridal bouquet a toss, landing in the arms of her elated little sister. Their classic Cescaphe cake was cut, and the party officially began with DJ V-las energizing the dance floor all night!
