Briian & Yani had a long journey to their wedding at the Collingswood Ballroom. But fate kept them in each others’ lives for decades! Briian & Yani believe that they were always meant to be, but it took them a few decades to realize it. Growing up in the same church and dating each other in high school, they both got to know each other’s big, loving families and shared a mutual appreciation for family ties. The two split to go to separate college, but fate brought them back together.
Briian is a musician and release a song that touched Yani’s heart – she knew she had to reach back out. Before they knew it, Yani was Briian’s plus one to his brother’s wedding and the entire night they fielded many joking questions about when their wedding would be. After a few months of dating, Briian proposed to Yani while literally taking the plunge together as they went skydiving! This led to them planning their wedding at the Collingswood Ballroom.
Getting Ready at Collingswood Ballroom
Yani & Briian embraced a bold palate of dramatic reds paired with black, which carried over throughout the florals, all the way to Briian’s custom tailored burgundy jacket. Yani’s stunning Galina Signature dress boasted an illusion bodice and lots of lace. Opting to not have a first look, she was excited for Briian to see her!
The Collingswood Ballroom Wedding Ceremony
As their deep sense of family unites Yani & Briian, so has the importance of those who have passed. Yani & Briian’s wedding day honors the day that her mother passed in 2004 from cancer. Being able to share this significant date was one of their most important decisions of their planning. Yani’s memorial also included a rose-adorned chair reserved in her honor during the ceremony & a single red rose with a framed photograph of her during the reception.
As if this wasn’t already an emotionally loaded day, when Briian saw Yani, the tears ran down his face in love filled rivers. She was everything he ever dreamed and more. Their Collingswood Ballroom ceremony began in earnest and soon they were forever united as husband and wife!

The grounds at the Collingswood Ballroom are full of lush greenery. Yani & Briian took advantage of the property for a few quite moments shared alone with their newlywed euphoria! And when we put Yani and Briian under her veil, holy wow, sparks flew!
The Collingswood Ballroom Wedding Reception
At the beginning of their reception, guests watched Yani & Briian dance a choreographed first dance. Among a cloud of smoke, these two shared a beautiful moment centerstage in the ballroom. Their love of dance was just the beginning of a serious dance floor! DJ Billy da Kid mixed sizzling Latin music with playful dance beats while family and friends danced the night away.
