Four Seasons Intimate Wedding | Megan Willis & Matt Modugno

Megan and Matt’s wedding plans have been through the wringer. Of all our couples affected by 2020’s massive monkey wrench, these two seemed hardest hit. They’d rescheduled their wedding 3 times before finally calling it quits on the big party, and opting for an extremely intimate wedding with just themselves, their officiant, and Rachel. Friends and family joined them for their Four Seasons intimate wedding via Zoom and, despite the massive shift in plans, they had an amazing time.

The Four Seasons Intimate Wedding Ceremony

High in the tower of the Four Seasons Hotel, Megan and Matt had taken some time to get themselves ready for their wedding ceremony. Reverend Kathleen and Rachel busied themselves with preparing the sitting room area to be best suited for the four of us and a laptop. Megan’s demeanor was cheerful: grateful that their moment had finally come and she could officially call Matt her husband. And Matt was all about making the woman he loves perfectly happy.

Their ceremony began and they held one another’s hands tightly as their story was shared with their virtual guests. There were laughs and teary smiles as they shared their vows and exchanged their rings. And when they kissed, though the Zoom participants were muted, we could hear the cheers in our hearts.

The newlyweds spent a few moments talking to their family through Zoom before saying goodbye for now, and heading out around town for some photos.

Old City Portraits

Megan’s greatest wedding dream, one of the few to survive the onslaughts of 2020, was to have at least one photo on the stairs of the Second National Bank. This historic landmark is a favorite of ours and we were all too happy to oblige. The drama of the marble columns, compounded by our beautiful couple, made the photograph everything she ever wanted. That is one of the best gifts we can give in our profession, and one of the best we receive as well. We also spent some time on Broad Street, where a pop up outdoor concert was starting from high atop an in progress building. These are strange times, but it’s beautiful to see people resiliency and determination to bring and find beauty in the midst. We’re so grateful Megan and Matt didn’t just call it quits on the wedding. It was a true joy and delight to capture their vows and start of their married journey together. We know that if they can make it through 2020, they can make it through anything!
