Sometimes, all you need for an amazing celebration is great food and good people around you. Unique, and personal in so many ways, Heather & Adam’s intimate Barbuzzo wedding was a day full of love, laughter, and family.
Getting Ready Together at The Loews Hotel
Their laid back, family-oriented wedding day began at the Loews with Heather, Adam, and Adam’s three tween & teenage daughters all together in a suite. The girls were buzzing around the rooms, taking turns applying their lipgloss and even getting a last minute manicure. NE Flower Boutique provided gorgeous colorful florals to capture alongside Heather’s elegant and heirloom wedding day details. Her Sarah O ring was especially stunning with a center sapphire while Adam’s custom engraving added another special detail. Heather helped Adam put on the pair cufflinks that once belonged to his grandfather before he stepped out so she could don her beautiful boho gown. When Adam returned to the room, his smile stole the show after finally seeing his bride ready for their intimate Barbuzzo wedding day.

Portraits & Family Photos in Philly
After a few family formals on the signature black steps that lead to the Millenium ballroom at the Loews and a family portrait series overlooking Philly’s iconic skyline from the 33rd floor, the family of five braved a brisk walk to City Hall for photos, then finally to Barbuzzo for their ceremony. When the blowing winds began to pick up, the Olive Street Events team was ready with Heather’s shaw in hand. Eschewing traditional transportation, the wandering through Philadelphia became a part of the photos and part of the memories, as Adam’s three daughters participated in portraits throughout the city.

Intimate Barbuzzo Wedding Ceremony
The upstairs event space of this beloved Philly restaurant was the perfect host for their intimate wedding ceremony and reception with less than 50 guests. Ahead of Heather’s entrance, a hug awaited each of Adam’s daughters at the end of the aisle. The short & sweet candlelight ceremony was officiated through the teary eyes of Heather’s moms best friend with her mom making her own heartfelt reading. As Heather read her personal vows to Adam, she turned around to dedicate a section of her speech to the three sisters. Their intimate Barbuzzo wedding ceremony concluded with Heather receiving a second wedding band from Adam’s girls before sealing the deal with a kiss.

Family Focused Wedding Reception at Barbuzzo
With lots of kiddos in attendance to the Sunday celebrations, their signature drink was a (non-alcoholic) sweet basil lemonade named after their beloved pet, Sammie. The cocktail hour spread featured a giant grazing board with Barbuzzo’s signature Mediterranean style and the incredible seated dinner menu was anything but the usual wedding sustenance. The open kitchen design of Barbuzzo allowed guests to take part and view the magic behind the scenes as their amazing dinner was prepared. Throughout the evening, guests of all ages enjoyed live music from a jazz trio and took turns posing for the caricature artist stationed in the space. They then took home their portraits in lieu of traditional wedding favors.

Both Heather’s stepfather and Adam’s father made loving toasts through a sea of laughter, tears, and clinking glasses. Some of the younger guests ran around with the Polaroid instant camera, capturing their own snapshots to place in the memory book. The newlyweds shared a low-key first dance to “I Love You, Always, Forever” with Heather’s boho sleeves flowing around the dance floor. After devouring a delicious dinner, Heather & Adam signed their marriage license at the table with their witnesses. When it was finally time to cut the cake, Adam’s youngest daughter couldn’t wait to try a bite, giving an approving thumbs up. With the light jazz trio scoring the evening, conversation buzzed and guests of all ages showed off their dance moves.
