Intimate Harrisburg Wedding | Kate Meyer & Dan Pcsolyar

On the banks of the Susquehanna River you’ll find a city known for both its beauty and rich history. On February 20th, 2022 Kate & Dan shared their special intimate Harrisburg wedding and it all started in old Victorian style homes hosted by Airbnb, right in the heart of the city.

Getting Ready AirBNB style

An Intimate Harrisburg wedding means the bride wears flannel to start her day. An intimate Harrisburg wedding means the bride needs only the most important people in her life present for her special day, her mother and maid of honor…and of course the photographer. Renee and (maid of honor here) helped Kate with her finishing touches. Kate, the beauty next door lit the room up in her white dress and sparkling jewelry.

Meanwhile Dan and Josh shared another local AirBNB. Just Dan and Josh. That’s it. Nothing flashy. Simple but still special. They laughed and shared memories. Dan, looking dapper, showed off the school ring, the green tie and of course the socks. Two thumbs up from Dan and it was settled – time to go. Time to marry the woman of his dreams.

Ceremony at Holy Apostles Orthodox Church

An intimate Harrisburg wedding means practicing in true Orthodox tradition. An Orthodox wedding is traditionally considered to be a rite of the church in which the marriage is blessed. The Holy Apostles Orthodox Church in Harrisburg is where Kate and Dan would share that blessed experience together.

Devoted members of the Parish greeted and sang as the small, intimate wedding party gathered into the church. The procession, the lighting of candles, the crowning, the epistle and gospel, the removal of crowns, Kate and Dan went through it all together. The ups and downs, the good times and the bad. And there they stood, together at the foot of the altar with only eternity ahead of them…that and night time portraits downtown.

Intimate Harrisburg Wedding Portraits

An intimate Harrisburg wedding means photos downtown by the river. Just KAte and Dan. That’s it. They were the only souls in the park as the sun set behind the bridge. Only eternity ahead of them. As night drew, Kate and Dan, hand in hand, step in step, headed back into the city square to meet their friends and family for dinner reception. Just the two of them…and the photographer of course! Thank you for letting us share in your intimate Harrisburg wedding. A true blessing!
