Lifecycle Session | The Hunts

One of the little blessings of 2020 was a chance to really delve into our lifecycle session offerings and meet/revisit so many wonderful families as they go through such exciting changes. Marianne & Chris were one of the awesome couples we got to meet as they prepared to become parents. Then, just days before Christmas, we were able to welcome their beautiful daughter Sophia into the world!

Our lifecycle session is designed to capture both maternity photos & an in-home newborn session for a family. So Marianne & Chris started their lifecycle on a beautiful autumn day at Longwood Gardens. These two were so fun to watch together. Chris, a marketer for Hershey, is a total goofball at heart and Marianne, a buyer for The Children’s Place, is very polished. Watching Chris bring out Marianne’s playful side and button up for a more serious photo when she gave him the eye was a blast. And in between all of the mommy/daddy time, we also managed to capture some really gorgeous maternity images all around the grounds of Longwood Gardens.

Fast forward a few months and Baby Sophia was born! We were originally supposed to do our in-home newborn session during the usual time frame (about a week after birth), but poor baby Sophia wasn’t feeling quite up for it. As cute as a button and as colicky as they come, Marianne, Chris, & I decided that it would be better to postpone a few weeks while they tried to help Sophia be more comfortable.

The best part of our postponement? The family’s home was decorated to the nines for Christmas and we were just days after the first major snow storm of the season. For Sophia’s newborn photos, we were able to capture not only our usual newborn work, but also photos in front of the tree and (very quickly) a family photo of Sophia’s first snow! Their adorable pup even joined in the holiday photo fun!

Marianne, Chris, & Sophia, we can’t wait to watch you grow together as a family and see what the future brings you!
