Tiffany and Mike’s Loews Philadelphia Wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and culture. They chose to be married in a simple ceremony, but honored Tiffany’s Chinese heritage during the reception with lots of details and a wardrobe change.
Getting Ready at the Loews Philadelphia
On a stunning day in the middle of June, the Loews Philadelphia Hotel was bustling with activity, as always. But today was special. Tiffany and her closest friends and family were upstairs in a suite getting ready for her to marry the love of her life.
Tiffany smiled as we walked in and quickly pointed us to her details. We couldn’t wait to get started! Her golden Nina heels had the prettiest bows on the back. The delightfully shiny golden wedding bands glowed with light. We crushed hard on the delicate lace of her Stella York wedding dress, and were enthralled by the traditional Chinese Qi Pao dress.
Once hair was in place and makeup applied, it was time to get dressed. Tiffany’s mom was so excited to help her into the dress. We could see the maternal pride bursting forth. After all the buttons had been done up and shoes put on, it was time for her first look at Washington Square Park with Mike.
Speaking of, he was there too getting ready! The way the window light flooded his suite, fell on him perfectly. We love when groom portraits are just as swoon worthy as bridal portraits. His periwinkle tie and perfectly tailored grey suit made for a fantastic wedding day ensemble. In two shakes of a lambs tail, he was also ready for the first look.

The First Look and Portraits at Washington Square Park
One of the foundational squares of Philadelphia, Washington Square is beautiful green spot in the heart of the historic district of Old City. The warm sun shone brightly as Tiffany crept up behind Mike and gently touched his shoulder. The tenderness in his smile as he beheld his bride was exquisite. These two are made for each other. The small bridal party joined us as well as immediate family and we enjoyed the nearly summer warmth while photographing formals and candids. Then it was time for the main event.

The Loews Philadelphia Wedding Ceremony & Reception
A lighted curtain was the perfect backdrop for Tiffany and Mike’s Loews Philadelphia wedding ceremony. As they stood before it and proclaimed a lifetime of love and devotion to one another, their guests watched with umbridled joy. Armed with bubbles, they created a cloud for the happy newlyweds to walk through.
After a delicious smelling (and we’re sure tasting) cocktail hour, it was time for the new Mr and Mrs to make their grand entrance into the wedding reception. And grand it was! They wowed the crowd with a choreographed first dance that made us want to learn how to dance too.
Not to be outdone, Tiffany’s father twirled her all about the dance floor. All the while telling her just how proud he was of her. Michael danced with his mother who smiled at him through the tears. There were many toasts which spoke to how incredible this couple is. It seemed that enough couldn’t be said of how great these two are and how perfect they are together.
Then it was time for cutting the cake, but first, wardrobe change! We think these two looked amazing in their traditional Chinese wedding attire. Dancing took over the second the frosting was wiped from their lips, and it was sadly time for us to leave.

Tiffany and Mike, we hope you are loving every second of your married life together!
