Normandy Farm Wedding | Erin & Seamus

Erin & Seamus met while working as a server and a chef at their local Ruby Tuesday’s. Erin jokes that Seamus used to mess up her orders as an excuse to talk to her. Now, Seamus loves that Erin is the first and last person he gets to talk to each day. Their floral themed Normandy Farm wedding day was full of special sentimental moments and new memories for the new Mr. & Mrs. Hanrahan.

Getting Ready for the Normandy Farm Wedding

Upon our arrival to the Normandy Farm wedding, the bridal suite was bustling with bridesmaids as hair and makeup finished their final touches. Before getting into her own dress, Erin helped her two young nieces into their fun and fashionable flower girl gowns. Both moms laced the whimsical tulle corset back of Erin’s Madi Lane wedding dress from Darianna Bridal and helped with her accessories. Once her veil was pinned and her beautiful bridals captured, it was time to head to church to get Erin & Seamus married!

While the morning with the girls was a montage of hair, makeup, and outfit changes, Seamus & his guys were ready for the Normandy Farm wedding day ahead. Dressed in his cool gray suit and champagne tie to match Erin’s bridesmaids, all Seamus needed was his boutonniere from Penny’s Flowers pinned. His sister Shannon stepped out of bridal prep to do the honors before Seamus & his groomsmen boarded the trolley to St. Alphonsus Parish.

Sentimental Ceremony at St. Alphonsus

St. Alphonsus is not only a beautiful church for a wedding, but holds extreme personal significance to this couple. Erin’s grandparents lived right down the street and were founding parishioners of the church. How sweet and sentimental that all these years later, their granddaughter would say her wedding vows at the altar of the church they helped found. Erin’s brother Tim played a big role in her wedding day, so when she requested they have a first look before the ceremony, we had to capture that special moment before he walked her down the aisle. At the end of the aisle, Seamus held back tears as his bride approached the altar. The pair listened intently to prayers and readings from the monsignor and from their loved ones in a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. With their rings and vows exchanged, Erin & Seamus shared their first kiss as husband and wife!

Friends & Family

With such large and loving families, we took full advantage of the expansive altar in St. Alphonsus with the stained glass as a beautiful backdrop. It was also important to Erin to capture her growing family in a church so personal to her own. After making our way back to the Normandy Farm wedding reception, we captured the bride and groom with their closest companions.

Portraits at Normandy Farm

One of the many reasons we love a Normandy Farm wedding is the gorgeous grounds. The vast property has so many amazing options for stunning portrait locations. From the blooming courtyards with charming florals and alluring architecture to the cottage houses and sizable silos, there’s a backdrop for every couples’ tastes. We had so much fun exploring with Erin & Seamus during their wedding portrait time. His jokester attitude brings out Erin’s bubbly smile and fun personality so effortlessly. After spending some alone time with the new husband and wife, it was finally time to celebrate with a Normandy Farm wedding reception in their Silos Ballroom.

Normandy Farm Wedding Reception

The teams at Normandy Farm and Penny’s Flowers set up a stunning celebration in the Silos Ballroom for Erin & Seamus’ dream wedding. The simple floral theme flowed throughout the space with the flowery seating chart and bright blossom bud vases.

Once the bridesmaids and groomsmen warmed up the crowd with their lively entrances, the new Mr. & Mrs. Hanrahan were introduced for the first time. Erin & Seamus shared their first dance to the Ray LaMontague classic “You Are the Best Thing” under the string lights. As they settled in for a delicious dinner, each parent made a toast to the newlyweds and the blessing was made by a close family friend. Erin shared another gentle moment with Tim as he led her to the center of the dance floor for a special song. Seamus danced with his mother to “Call Your Mama” before Erin surprised her mom by bringing her onto the dance floor as well. “The Best Day” by Taylor Swift sailed over the speakers as mother and daughter tightly embraced in a gentle sway.

Once the newlyweds cut their cake, Normandy Farm opened their dessert display featuring heart shaped soft pretzels, a donut wall, and a s’mores station. DJ Dan Roffo kept the dance floor filled as other guests enjoyed their drinks, dessert, and leaving messages for the bride & groom on their “At the Tone” guest book. With nothing left to do but party, these two danced the rest of the night away.
