When a mutual love of tacos sparks a first conversation that you can both point to as the moment you knew there was something special about the other person, you’ve definitely found your soul mate. Gina and Blake bonded over their mutual love of Taco Bell, and even before they officially started dating, had strong feelings for one another. Blake may have even told Gina he loved her on the first date! So, we were very excited to explore Old City for their engagement session and see these two in action together.
Old City Engagement Session
Gina and Blake were both in great spirits when we met up for their engagement session. We started at one of our favorite Old City landmarks, the First Bank. This lovely marble building with its massive columns is perfect for capturing drama and also provides a distraction free background for when you want to create more intimate portraits. You can pull in greenery as well by making some simple perspective adjustments as well!
From there, we hit our other favorite spot. The beautiful rounded facade of the Merchants Exchange Building is a classic Philadelphia staple. Gina and Blake loved this stunning place as much as we did.
From there, we explored a bit more off the beaten path. Ending up near Zahav, one of Philly’s highest rated restaurants, we found some awesome new places for the Old City engagement session. Some beautiful greenery and bright pink blooms. It was perfect.
The whole time, we were struck by how fun Gina and Blake are. Both outgoing and genuinely interested in people, we really enjoyed getting to know them and it stirred an extra level of excitement for their wedding. We can’t wait!
