Palace at Somerset Wedding | Erin & Tyler

After meeting on Hinge while Erin was visiting her parents in Florida over winter break, Erin & Tyler found the person to make the long distance worth it. Erin & Tyler hosted a beautiful day filled with lots of love, laughter, color, and class. They tied the knot in a traditional St. John the Evangelist ceremony and topped it off with a perfect Palace at Somerset wedding reception. The ease in which these two connected made our day capturing their love a joy!

Preparations for the Palace at Somerset Wedding Day

Erin spent a relaxing morning getting pampered and prepped for the Palace at Somerset wedding by Lindsey Laverty and Chic Artiste. Erin, her maid of honor, mother, and aunt dressed in matching denim button downs featuring a personalized monogram and cozy slippers. Before getting into her gorgeous gown from I Do I Do, Erin opened a beautiful blue bracelet from her groom to wear on their wedding day. She put on her elegant emerald engagement ring from Royal Jewelers, where Tyler taught golf lessons to the owner, so they made sure to purchase all of their wedding jewelry from North Dakota. We’re suckers for family first looks and Erin had to hold back tears through three of them with her father, brother, and grandfather. After capturing Erin with her colorful Flower Station bouquet wrapped with pieces of her mother’s veil, it was time to head to church!

Over at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Tyler got ready with his groomsmen and goddaughter. Giddy with excitement for the Palace at Somerset wedding day ahead, Tyler dressed in his navy pants and vest and opened the new watch from his bride. After adding his blue bowtie and jacket, he was ready for the ceremony at St. John the Evangelist.

St. John the Evangelist Wedding Ceremony

St. John the Evangelist church is impeccably adorned with large light marble columns and archways stretching to the high painted ceilings. Now that Tyler eagerly awaited at the altar, Erin emerged through the wooden arch door on her dads arm and walked down the aisle towards her anticipative groom. In a full Roman Catholic mass, the bride and groom prayed, exchanged rings and vows, and delivered a bouquet to the statue of Mary. With the marriage sealed with a kiss, we captured a few photos at the church before heading to their Palace at Somerset wedding celebration.

Palace at Somerset Wedding Portraits

While the gorgeous gardens at the church were perfect for portraits, we couldn’t wait to get to the Palace at Somerset with Erin & Tyler. The crisp and clean courtyard creates a calm and classic atmosphere where Erin & Tyler boasted their love for each other. The classic architecture and bright bushes beautifully blended together with the classy and colorful couple. These two seriously couldn’t stop smiling throughout the whole day and it was such a joy to capture. Their families then them joined for another round of formals in front of the magnificent mansion. The bride and groom were welcomed into The Palace for a private cocktail hour and plenty of time to privately practice their first dance ahead of accompanying their guests at cocktail hour.

Palace at Somerset Wedding Celebration

The new Dr. & Mr. Polk shared their elegantly choreographed first dance to “Better Half of Me” by Tom Walker in a blue-lit ballroom full of their loved ones. Settling in at the sweetheart table, the pair heard heartfelt words and humorous tales from Erin’s father and maid of honor and Tyler’s best man. Erin’s dad took center stage once more as he took her hand for a delightful dance before Tyler & his mom shared a sweet song themselves. The newlyweds couldn’t wait to cut their dazzling and delicious Palermo Bakery cake and get the party started. Finally, the EBE Talent DJ opened the dance floor for a night of fun!

Congratulations to the new Dr. & Mr. Polk! We’re so happy you’ve found the person that made the long distance worth it!
