Penn Museum wedding - Terri Kelly & Kyle Rhodes

It’s not every day that I’m heading out on a Thursday to shoot a wedding, but I’m so excited to be sharing Terri & Kyle’s Penn Museum wedding day on a perfect April afternoon. These two raise the bar on what love looks like! From the moment I walked into the dorm on UPenn’s campus where Terri was getting ready, I could feel the love and excitement all around me!

While Terri was sitting for the final touches of hair & makeup in the next room over, I started by photographing a few details of their day. Their beautiful engraved rings & bouquet of carved florals perfectly matched their purple invitation suite. As her dear cousin & mother helped her into her beautiful dress, Terri was absolutely exuberant!

At the same time, Kyle was already over at the Penn Museum putting the finishing touches on his perfectly tailored blue suit. He and his best man joked around and waiting patiently for Terri to arrive & the ceremony to begin.

Begin, it did! This was a wedding ceremony for the record books! As Terri came down the aisle, everyone teared up – Yes, even me! Kyle’s emotional response to seeing his bride for the first time was overwhelming. Their vows were deeply personal and touching. But the real shining moment happened when Kyle serenaded his bride in a smooth a cappella song about the depth of his love. These two danced down the aisle as husband & wife with over-the-top joy!

Once the ceremony was over, we spent the next hour wandering through the grounds of the Penn Museum. I always tell people how much I love shooting on the grounds at UPenn, but this was truly exquisite! Is there anything more beautiful than these two wonderful people in love? I don’t think so!

Terri & Kyle, I know that you two are having the best time on your honeymoon right now! I hope that it is just the first joyful trip on your amazing life journey together!
